Re: Foremost Kole 19-1/2 in. W x 9-3/4 in. D Vanity in Espresso with Fireclay Sink in White - Can the sink be "flipped" . . .

and installed so that the faucet is on the right side?
Asked by: Anonymous
This is a great question for a lovely product and what's so interesting is that the photos on the web show the faucet hole in two positions. SesameGirl - great info! Do you happen to have any photos of the dowels? I'm confuzzled as to 1. why there would be dowels and 2. why they need paint. Thanks!

Is there an area on the top of the vanity to keep a soap pump?

It is very hard to see from the pictures online how much room is around the top of the sink bowl to be able to tell if you could place a soap dish and/or soap pump without it falling off.
Asked by: PrncssNur
Yes, there is a small area next to the faucet where you can put a pump soap or a small soap dish. There is a 4" x 4" flat space if you use a single hole faucet without the cover plate.

Our contractor installed this in two tiny bathrooms, and it was the ideal size. However, because it is so small, water drips down the sides, and the particle board vanity itself is an absolute mess. It's totally peeling and looks horrible. We have to replace it now, just two years since installation.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Damaged Cabinet was damaged. They put the sink inside the cabinet for shipping and it pushed the bottom of the cabinet down breaking the wooden dowels and chipping the inside of the cabinet bottom. Obviously the bottom of the cabinet is cheaply made. Too bad because it is cute and fits in a tiny powder room.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for small areas - looks GREAT! Had a small bathroom and wanted a functional, great looking vanity with cabinet. Was unsure when I saw it out of the box - but it is PERFECT in this small bathroom. Has everything we need - functional, great looks.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Arrived damaged We ordered this online because we needed as small a sink/vanity as possible for our bathroom. Older house so bathroom is small and we wanted to recoop as much room as possible. First, I do like the sink and cabinet, but for what we got, it's way overpriced. Cabinet is nothing but press board, not even real $300 is a tad much for a press board cabinet and porcelain sink. If I had to have had to pay shipping ($55) I would have been extremely unhappy. If you do buy this ship it to store. The cabinet was fully assembled and when I opened the box and I found that the press board cabinet was damaged. In back, where a bottom back brace connects the two side, the left side of the cabinet was chipped and loose. Not sure if this happened in shipping s the box not look damaged. Could be factory damage or lack of QA. Considered returning it but don't have 3 weeks to wait for a replacement as we already had ripped out the old sink and vanity. Luckily I have to disassemble it anyway to fit it around the piping in my bathroom and do some other alterations (like cutting bottom to allow for water pipes since they come up out of the floor instead of the wall. So I can repair the damage easy enough, just disappointed in the quality. I do like the fact that it's less then 10" deep and the look of the sink and cabinet. Add a waterfall faucet and it does look sharp but if I had to do it over again I might have gone with a slightly larger vanity at a cheaper cost.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great powder room vanity This is a great powder room vanity but I would consider the following points before purchasing this item. 1. My first shipment arrived damaged. I'd recommend that you pick this item up in store and open it before you leave. The second shipment arrived without damages. 2. Based on the composition (and other reviews) I'd hesitate to use it in a full bathroom. I'm not sure how well it would handle the moisture.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Faucet CAN be moved to right side! The sink is of good quality- the wood cabinet is very low quality but will work for the intended purpose. I wish the instructions for attaching the sink to the cabinet were a little clearer. I get that I am supposed to use an adhesive of some sort to attach the sink to the cabinet, but a suggestion to what kind of adhesive would've been nice. In response to a question that was asked if the faucet could be moved to the right hand side instead of the left- YES! It can be done. The tools required to switch the faucet side are, screwdriver, drill, tape, paint, wood glue and clamps. 1- Remove the two screws on the top of either side of the cabinet that hold the top in place (where the sink will eventually be attached) 2- Break the glue seal by gently pulling on the top. 3- Remove the top and mark the top of the two wooden dowels with paint. 4- Align the top (with the faucet notch on the right side) over the base of the cabinet to make the place to drill new holes for the dowels. 5- Drop appropriate size drill bit into the previously used dowel holes and wrap tape around remaining threads to prevent drilling too deeply into the top. Drill Holes. 6- Place wood glue in areas previously glued and replace top on cabinet (with faucet notch on right hand side) 7- Place clamps around cabinet to hold top securely until glue is dry and replace the screws.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from bought it for the size not the quality but very disappointed in being forced to pay for freight. Product is not worth it. Product is one of the few that is available under 12 inches deep but the cabinet has only 2 colors and the cabinet is cheap looking. Cabinet does not have bottom front panel so you can see plumbing under it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for a small bathroom This was perfect for our downstairs guest bathroom - a nice alternative to a pedestal sink. The vanity is attractive and functional. It was exactly what we were looking for as it offers a small amount of storage and has a smaller footprint than the pedestal sink we were initially going to install. It was really hard to find something this size in this price range. Our unit arrived in perfect condition and was easy to install.
