This towel bar replaced another on the wall opposite the shower in a full size bath/shower combination. The walls are tiled, and the original bar was chrome. It looks great!
The screw holes on the original were side to side, but on the mounts for this towel bar they are up and down, so new holes in the tile were necessary. The four holes were drilled successfully with a special bit for drilling into tile (1/4" Carbide Tipped Drill Bit), and with masking tape criss crossed over the place where the hole would be drilled to prevent slippage. A full size diagram showing where to drill the holes was included, and I taped it up, leveled, and was thankful it had been included.
There are two screws in each metal mounting piece, and the porcelain ends slide onto the metal. The actual bar is hollow plastic.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by brcal69 OK towel bar
Bought this to approximately match existing bars in a old guest bath. the center bar is plastic which is relatively sturdy, but we improved the feel of the bar by inserting a 5/8" dowel which makes it much stiffer.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Pete Problems can be overcome
The towel bar is great, but it does have some design flaws that can be easily overcome. The bar itself is plastic, true, but a wood dowel inserted inside the bar will keep it from bending and pulling out of the side brackets when installed.
Also, others have pointed out that the side brackets do not attach to the wall solidly, which is also true. However, after installation you can inject bathroom caulk between the side brackets and the wall. Once dry, the calk holds the side brackets firmly against the wall and looks solid.
Also, the plastic bar can be cut to whatever size is needed.
When installed properly, the appearance of the towel bar is so much better than cheap chrome towel bars.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Homeowner Good looking and easy to install towel bars
The ceramic towel bar and toilet paper holder look terrific; style goes well with either a modern or traditional bathroom design. Template included with product makes installation quite easy. Only minor drawback is that connection between ceramic holder and metal support tends to be a little loose. This is easily and securely corrected by adding a piece of tape to the metal piece during installation. Unlike prior versions, the color of the towel bar matches the end pieces very well.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by HandyCrank OK, but check the mounting brackets!
I like the chunky ceramic look of these.
But the metal mounting brackets MUST hold them tight to the wall or door (assuming you're not cementing them onto ceramic tile), or they will fall and shatter on the floor. The brackets as received were incorrectly adjusted/angled and the loose fit would have let the ends fall. I removed the brackets and bent them out wider. One minute in the bench vice, pry with screwdrivers. Upon reinstallation, the fit was nice and tight.

The metal wedge is too small & fits too loosely in the ceramic holder witch causes the bar to be excessively loose. Had to adjust the wedge by bending it until the ceramic holder would fit firmly against the wall.
