This part has little turn-over so it is not stocked in the store to keep the prices down. It is really a one-of-kind item

Will screws holding the clamp to the wall be hidden by the tissue holder?

I want to mount a recessed toilet tissue holder in the side wall of a vanity. The vanity doesn't have any drawers or sink to get in the way. After making a cutout for the holder I assume you attach the clamp to the inside of the wall by driving screws from the outside through the wood into the flange, say two screws above and two below the cutout. When the holder is attached to the clamp, will the holder trim cover the screw heads?

Duh, I figured out the answer after I posted the question, but there was no way to delete the question. It's been a number of years since I installed the clamp and tissue holder, but I know that none of the clamp screws show. In fact, I seem to recall that the clamp is not held to the wall with screws, rather it's drawn against the wall via the screws that go through the tissue holder and in to the clamp. In any event, no screws show and you'll be amazed how well the clamp and tissue holder work in tandem Read More

Yes, but of course you need to cut a hole in the wall for the holder and it simply clamps it into place.

First, the Wall Clamp I received was not silver as shown or listed in the description, but brass colored. The clamp is hidden by the toilet paper holder, so it really doesn't matter, but the description is deceiving. Secondly, the Franklin toilet paper holder I purchased was in polished nickel. It came with matching screws that were to be used to screw into a wall clamp. However, these screws were too large in diameter for the pre-drilled holes in the wall clamp. The wall clamp came with several screws of different diameters and colors but the only ones that fit,and could attached both Franklin pieces together, were either polished nickel colored or brass and didn't match the holder. Since you obviously cannot use the Franklin toilet paper holder without the Franklin recessed wall clamp, I wish the colors and hole and screw configurations were better matched.

Clamp should have come with the correct screws and the paper holder should have had the clamp included with it to begin with.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent product and works as intended I used this clamp with the Franklin Brass Recessed Paper Holder (9097SN). Because Home Depot's website is not very clear on this subject, you MUST have this clamp in order to perform a standard drywall installation of a recessed paper holder. The clamp is placed on the backside of the hole you will cut in the drywall, and is drawn back against the drywall as the screws in the holder are tightened. This makes for an extremely rigid and sturdy installation of the paper holder.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from quickneasy Attaches easily with the screws supplied by the actual recessed tissue holder. I agree with those reviewers who said this SHOULD be a part of the recessed tissue holder package. One should not have to order this seperately. Once I ordered it, despite there being no instrucitons, I found that it easily fits the hole cut for the tissue holder. (PS, measure the back of the tissue holder as the instructions give a measurement that is too large and may weaken the ability of this clamp to hold) You can attach it to the tissue holder with the screws BEFORE you insert this back piece into the wall and then tighten down the screws. A simple but critical piece that works very well. No cusswords needed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from hIGH QUALITY DELIVERED RAPIDLY Purchased when I discovered that it was not included with the toilet paper holder. HD was the only place where I could purchase without a shipping charge almost as high as the purchase price. It arrived in a few days in perfect condition.
