This part has little turn-over so it is not stocked in the store to keep the prices down. It is really a one-of-kind item

Will screws holding the clamp to the wall be hidden by the tissue holder?

I want to mount a recessed toilet tissue holder in the side wall of a vanity. The vanity doesn't have any drawers or sink to get in the way. After making a cutout for the holder I assume you attach the clamp to the inside of the wall by driving screws from the outside through the wood into the flange, say two screws above and two below the cutout. When the holder is attached to the clamp, will the holder trim cover the screw heads?

Duh, I figured out the answer after I posted the question, but there was no way to delete the question. Also, there's no way to reply to ILOVETOOLS to thank him or her for confirming what I had already figured out, namely: The flanges of the clamp rest against the INSIDE of the wall, and the only screws are the two that go through the holder and into the clamp so that by tightening the screws, the clamp Read More

This product definitely needs a video or a diagram for people like me who are slow to figure things out. Read Less

It's been a number of years since I installed the clamp and tissue holder, but I know that none of the clamp screws show. In fact, I seem to recall that the clamp is not held to the wall with screws, rather it's drawn against the wall via the screws that go through the tissue holder and in to the clamp. In any event, no screws show and you'll be amazed how well the clamp and tissue holder work in tandem Read More

Yes, but of course you need to cut a hole in the wall for the holder and it simply clamps it into place.

Rated 4.7 out of 5 by 33 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Glad I got the clamp The clamp work great you need it to hold the tp holder July 19, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Glad I read the reviews/complaints & ordered it. I was glad I read the complaints in the reviews for the Franklin Brass Double Post Toilet Paper Holder in Bright Stainless Steel, as it wasn't clear to me that you also needed this part. I had contractors do the work, but I think it was easy enough for them to install. The paper holder fits in the wall securely & works fine, so I assume this part is working as advertised. You can just barely see the holder on the wall to the right under the window. July 18, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Perfect replacement We had an old recessed clamp in our midcentry home/bathroom that was rusty and missing the plastic tray. This clamp was almost identical to the original and made a great replacement. Bathtub looks shiny and new March 29, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by hIGH QUALITY DELIVERED RAPIDLY Purchased when I discovered that it was not included with the toilet paper holder. HD was the only place where I could purchase without a shipping charge almost as high as the purchase price. It arrived in a few days in perfect condition. February 16, 2016
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Incorrect Parts The bracket I received was tapped at the factory for Metric M4x50 flat head Phillips machine screws. If you use the woods screws which was supplied with the bracket, you will strip the screws. No local Home Depot had these proper screws in the 50mm length, so I had to go to a specialty fastener shop 24 miles from my home. The screws were only 20 cents each, & they had a $1 minimum order, so I got 5 screws. These screws fit perfectly. I spent $7 for gas, round trip 48 miles. Home Depot sent me a $10 gift card for my effort. Good job Home Depot, they did right by me. June 5, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Easy - Peasy The easiest thing I've ever used. Follow the instructions and cut the hole as directed and slide it in on an angle. Then just tighten the screws on your recessed unit. May 26, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by quickneasy Attaches easily with the screws supplied by the actual recessed tissue holder. I agree with those reviewers who said this SHOULD be a part of the recessed tissue holder package. One should not have to order this seperately. Once I ordered it, despite there being no instrucitons, I found that it easily fits the hole cut for the tissue holder. (PS, measure the back of the tissue holder as the instructions give a measurement that is too large and may weaken the ability of this clamp to hold) You can attach it to the tissue holder with the screws BEFORE you insert this back piece into the wall and then tighten down the screws. A simple but critical piece that works very well. No cusswords needed. December 11, 2010
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Necessary Evil This part is a necessary evil as it wasn't included with the paper holder I purchased and it was for a new installation. I'm thankful to have learned it wasn't included before I purchased the paper holder. I am also thankful to have learned the part number so I could find it in the first place. March 26, 2015
