I bought this kit 3 months ago, but I don't know what kind of compressor would work best for all the guns.

Asked by: Lulu
I used a California Air Tools 8.0 gal. 1.0 HP Ultra Quiet and Oil-Free Electric Air Compressor. It is very quiet. In fact, although I was only about 8 feet away from the compressor, I had to check to make sure it was running because the birds were singing in near by trees while working on my aunts deck! Here is the link to the compressor

I also used it to install cement board siding, just turned down the air pressure and it set the nail head correct. Used the finish nailer for trim work and it works as good as any I have ever used. Tools are very well made and good balance. i have used and had other brands thru the 40+ years and these are great tools. Tools are a lot better quality than I expected for the price I paid. Very good tool.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Value for the DIY'er I had my wife purchase this for my birthday. I always have projects around the house but this is the first time I really needed multiple nail guns. Also planning on finishing my basement and will need the framing nailer as well. Used the brad and angled finish nailers for our coffered ceiling project in the formal dining room. I had never done a ceiling like this before so there was a lot of measuring and drawing done until we had the layout we liked. These guns performed fantastic. I couldn't tell you the difference between a $300 nail gun and $100 nail gun. For the average user doing DIY projects these guns should do the trick. I only had 2 small issues. 1) The non-marring tip from the finish nailer came off a few times when using it at odd angles. No big deal as it just slides back on. 2) Had to use a nail set on about 1-2% of the finish nails. This may have been operator error. When I held the gun firmly in place and pulled the trigger it seemed to set the nails properly. Only when working at odd angles did I have issues, but as I was working alone, it was unavoidable. The ceiling took about a month working only nights and weekends but we are so happy with the results. Now we need to find a nice chandelier that accentuates the amount of sweat equity I put into this project. I bet I told my wife at least 5 times that this was the best birthday present ever. FYI...I used Dewalt 2" and 2 1/2" angled finish nails and Dewalt brad nails.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic set This is my first nail gun purchase, however I've been working with professional nailers now for a year. This is by far the best tool purchase I've ever made. All 4 guns worked lawlessly with no adjustments. I did lubricate prior to first use and set my compressor to 90psi. I have used 3 brands of nails. I can't imagine a better deal.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Well worth the price ! I’m generalling the construction of our new house. Which means I have lots of work to do. I bought this set because it was affordable and I don’t plan to use it in any continual capacity. Everything works great, looks great, and was as advertised. I had one issue, the framing nailer wouldn’t always fire, instead you could hear air exhaust around the trigger. I e-mailed Freeman with my “complaint”. The next day they called me to get my address to send me a new trigger kit. I received the kit a couple days later, installed it, and the nailer works perfectly. I was very impressed by Freeman’s support. I’d recommend this buy to a friend.

It would have been helpful if the framing nailer instructions had made mention of removing the roofing tile spacer installed on the end of the nail driver which was easy to remove after the roofer told me what it was. Now works great. Just need to set the air pressure to the higher end of the recommended pressure settings
