This stapler was not my first choice. I originally bought a different one online only to be told a few days later that the order was cancelled not back ordered but cancelled?
I was not happy!
So back to the website to find a replacement. I called customer service and they suggested this one.
I must admit I was very pleased.
It's a great stapler that can be changed to a nailer in just a few minutes.
Only had a couple of jams usually after long use and then I added a drop of oil and it worked fine for another couple of hours. I put over 3000 staple in with it. so yes it worked great.

For the money it would be difficult to find a better product. Worked great for some cork board I installed. Next test will be 3/8 hardwood flooring.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by jeeves great nailer
This is the only nailer I found designed for engineered flooring. Worked very well on 3/8 bamboo with 18 gage nails. Do not use staples as they will split the tongue which is no fault of the nailer it is the hardness of bamboo. Put down 200 sq. feet with no misfires, jams or no sets and I am going over old oak floor. A little common sense and it is easy to set depth of shoe. Can get get first row and with in one row of last. Great tool. If I need another nailer I will look for a Freeman.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by BillT Great find - Great customer service
Bought this stapler based on reviews (both at Home Depot and other sites) and price. After I placed my order through Home Depot, I told my flooring salesperson that I was going to install the engineered hardwood myself, he insisted on digging up a text from one of his installers recommending the perfect tool for the job... you guessed it, the Freeman PFBC940. Now the thing that impressed me the most; The first gun I received was broken - it had an air leak somewhere in the guts and would not drive staples completely while practicing for the main event. As recommended, instead of returning it to Home Depot, I called the company - man, talk about customer service! Spoke with nice (and apologetic) young man named Rich Kahn and two days later, I had a new, fully functional stapler on my doorstep. No questions, no problem - just emailed a copy of my Home Depot order confirmation e-mail and that was it. They even payed for me to ship the defective machine back. A little adjusting and practicing on a sacrificial piece of flooring and the Freeman stapler worked flawlessly. To sum up; Flawless performance - price that's cheaper than renting a stapler - outstanding customer service... I am happy. My knees still hurt from installing the floor, but I'm happy.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Iradoh Under powered, wast of money
When I purchased this nail gun I was under the impression that it would go all the way flush or near the wall. The truth of the matter is it will do one more row than your average floor nailer, and when it dose it will not counter sink the staples so you'll have to go back with a hammer and punch. I found it a lot easer to use my porter cable Right angle finish nailer. It has way more power and I can go up to the second to last row nailing in the Tongue at an angle and top nail the final row with no problem. Be warned if you are use to using any Decent power tools you will be under whelmed by the power this little gun has.
