Is the door sturdy enough to keep calm pets inside or would it be easy for them to push it out of the way?

I would like to know how it is installed on garage door?

Asked by: Tttt
I have this screen and put screws with washers into the Velcro to hold the Velcro onto garage door frame firmly, so the Velcro won't pull off. Worked great!

NO! This is a 2 zipper screen i.e heavy duty zipper on each side. Not worth the hassle of cutting out the zipper, removing material, re-doing the hem, re-installing the zipper....yada yada yada. You get my point. I assure you... having two zippers, one on each side is the way to go Arguably, you could maybe get a single zipper screen with a center zipper and trim the side(s), but I wouldn't recommend that either. Now, I don't have a clue where you can get a stock 15' width screen. I looked all over the 'net' hoping to find you a link, but, no success. Custom screen maybe...but that's likely cost prohibitive. In conclusion, these screens are great to have, and if you're like me,in a situation like this, you'll do your best "McGyver" imitation and figure out something. Good luck!

You can buy Velcro by the roll. I would not rely on the adhesive to keep it on, though. I would also staple it.

I even measured before I ordered. It was 1FT too wide. I considered trying to afix it to the side door jams, but I have cement block with stucco. But there is no way the velcro is going to stick on the stucco. I could drill into the stucco, but that is too much hassle for something that should have been the right size to begin with. I did not give it 1 star, because the material and construction look to be excellent.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Zipper garage screen It was exactly what I was looking for. We have purchased many different ones over the years but our problem is we have metal doors so if there was a magnet any where it would get stuck to the door and eventually get trashed. We paid a little more than we have in the past but believe it will be worth it as this seems much more sturdy. The netting is better and thicker. The zipper is perfect as we have kids and go in and out a lot.

It works great with keeping out the bugs. I will note that the velcro will become detached from garage opening and had to install stainless steel finish screws to keep it secure. I'm not dropping the rating because its allowed the garage to become another room and my dog freedom when I'm out there tinkering. Zippers are strong and perform well. Just be prepared to install screws.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poorly made Screen is not made of a heavy weight material and I don't expect it to last very long. Also the designers made the screen too wide for the door. In order to get the screen to pull snug the side zippers end up being directly in the path of the door so when the door closes it pinches the zipper and the door reverses direction because of the obstruction. Overall poor design.

Very impressed with the thickness of the screen and the quality of the edge material and zippers. We followed the installation instructions and nailed the edge material to the garage door trim to ensure the screen will stay in place for years to come. We recommend this product to anyone looking for a fresh air screen for their garage door!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Single garage screen. Just what we need to keep pest insects out. Easy and quick installation. I would recommend. My mother has the 2 car garage screen, which she love with the exception of the zipper quality could be better. She finally had to sew in magnets and industrial strength velcro, in place for the zipper. Zipper would get off track.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Screen door Screen is made of light weight material and will probably not last too long. Screen was made too wide for the door opening, if screen is installed for a snug fit then the side zippers are in the way of the door closing and causes the door to reverse during the closing operation.
