Does this unit have a three prong plug that will fit into a normal wall plug

Asked by: Morgan
Hello Morgan! We have checked the specifications for the air conditioner FFRE1533Q1 and show that the plug is a 5-15P (NEMA). This should fit all standard outlets located within the home. We hope that this information is helpful to your shopping experience. –Thanks!-

15,100 BTU Window Air Conditioner is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 51.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Quiet and cheaper than my neighbor's central air This is our second one of this model. Quiet and very efficient. Our electric bill was half our neighbor's. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Does the job The AC cools my large living room and kitchen. I bought it during the 95 degree heat wave we were getting in Central Oregon during June 2015. For a 120 volt unit it does quite fine, and I needed a big unit for my size room. It's heavy 70+ lbs. and I did install the unit myself, but another hand would have been nice. Only criticism I have is that the outside fresh air lever is a push/pull design and is dorky to use. I don't change the setting and leave it closed, but if I had to, it's hard to use the lever through the vents. Home Depot used UPS to delivery this heavy AC! They were very fast to deliver, but I feel sorry for that UPS driver!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Cools relatively fast in a very large room I bought my 15000 BTU for a long room measuring approximately 650 sq. ft with a kitchen and bathroom in separate rooms slightly off from the long main room. The unit cools all three along with the help of a ceiling fan. It actually gets so cold that I switch to fan only mode for an hour or so until the humidity returns. I live in a five story brick building in NYC, which gets very hot and humid, even when the outside temperature is relatively mild for a summer day or evening. I would recommend this air conditioner at least to this point in my ownership.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Cools This is a review for this unit after 2 Louisiana summers. I installed in kitchen window and was happy for 2 years with only complaint was temp was wrong on front. Kept 2 rooms at 74 except in 97 degree outside temp. Last week it got up to 85 inside and I thought here we go again. I have had 3 other Frigidaire Air conditioners and 2 year seems to be max. I went back to owners manual and it stated must not be installed with awnings over and my deck is covered. I figure what do I have to lose so I installed in Living Room where there was no cover. Now temp is close and it cools the Mobile Home down great. I even got up this morning to 69 degree room. It is been over 95 outside for last week and highest temp inside is 77 degrees with a low overnight inside is 69. Temp has been set on 65 for 2 years and now I have to raise it to 67. Overall the AC needs 2 important factors that must be adhered to. First is don't install with a deck anyhow you have 4 ft of clearance over top as it will overheat when deck gets over 120 and it will with this type of install which I now think is reason for other Air Conditioners going out. Second is it needs to be on its own circuit as it draws lots of amps. My Frigidaire collection consist of Dishwasher, Range, Refrigerator, 12000 window unit and this one so that should tell you of reliability I expect from a product. Oldest is range of 11 years and newest is fridge of 2 years.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works as advertised I bought this for my 600 sqft woodshop. It works great and was easy to install. We are have a colder winter than normal so I have not needed to use it much, but this summer I expect it will get alot of use. the remot is a nice option and being able to set it and forget it is great also. No complaints as of yet.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Game Changer I have a 2 story, 2,850 SQFT house and central air would cost between $12K - $18K. I bought two Frigidaires instead, one for each floor, and what a difference. This setup doesn't work quite as well as central air (one side of each floor isn't as cool as the other) nor does it look quite as nice (who ideally wants ACs hanging out of their windows?!), but for around 7% of the initial cost and less than 40% of the operating cost it's a no-brainer. Two of these ACs cools my whole house... WOW! I installed them in windows that slide sideways, not up and down, so I had to buy additional materials to build a replacement window above each unit that set me back an extra $60. You could probably make it work for less, but I wanted to see out of it and spent the extra time and money.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from good ac / poor customer service. The AC works well but the instructions are useless, inaccurate and misleading. There was no internal packing as stated in the instructions. Spent hours on the phone with Frigidaire customer service. An hour and a half was waiting to speak to the first person. Tech support told me that the directions were wrong but since they printed so many of these they have to send these bad ones out until they run out, then correct instructions will be used. Are you kidding me? A big waste of time. I will never purchase this brand again.
