Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by YorYor Good value in a basic refrigerator
I've been using this fridge for about four months so far without any problems. Not a lot of frills, but works fine. Energy usage is good, it's not too noisy, plenty cool at middle settings, which are easy to adjust if needed. I wish the freezer were a little bigger and the fridge compartment could be a little smaller in return. Minor drawbacks: with any top-freezer design, there is no light, and to be able to pack food in, it can be hard to see and reach things and you might have to move things around to find what you need. Also, the rack in my freezer bent a little, sagging from the weight put on it. The plastic handles, while sturdy enough, are pretty basic from a style standpoint. Shop around for sales/coupons/cash back links, etc. I got mine for a net of around $580 delivered (including tax) after factoring in a 5% click-thru.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Frustrated Thought it was great til the shelf fell down!
We were quite happy with our three month old Frigidare Model # FFHT2117LWF until this morning. I heard a horrendous crash in the basement and went down to see what had fallen. I opened the refrigerator door and a bag of apples tumbled out. The middle shelf was askew and a bowl of applesauce was lodged between the bottom of the refrigerator and the door pocket - fortunately the cover had not come off. I tried to put the shelf back together a couple of times, but couldn’t figure it out. I was in the middle of a kitchen chore upstairs, so I left the shelf to my husband to fix when he came home. It took him an hour to figure it out. He called customer service and they are sending a replacement shelf, but I believe the design is faulty. I wouldn’t trust the shelf with anything substantial, say a leftover Thanksgiving turkey. Very disappointed.

This is about the coldest refrigerator I've ever owned and that is at the NORMAL setting. I'm happy with this product.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Zyyoll Review of 20.53 cu ft Top Freezer model # FFHT2117LW7
This is a larger than average no frills refrigerator-freezer. We added an ice maker which increased the cost by $50, plus $20 to connect it to existing water line. It replaced an 21 year-old unit which was working well but the gaskets were worn and the cost of new gaskets was $160 (for parts). The main reason for selecting this unit was it was ample size for us (older couple) and Consumer Reports said it was quieter than average. We can confirm that it runs as quiet or quieter than the unit we replaced. We have had it in operation for 11 days. The refrige cools to 4 degrees C which is optimal. The freezer keeps food very well. We use the ice cream test for the freezer. We had to keep it to the center position or else the ice cream was too hard to scoop. Do not expect a fancy interior. The bins for fruit and vegetables are adequate. There is a cheese drawer we also use for deli meats. All in all it is a good value in a cost conscious household. We like it.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by railboy63 Buyer Beware
We purchased this model to replace a refrigerator used in our garage. One problem: If the outside temperature is not 60 degrees the freezer will shut down. In order for the refrigerator and freezer to work you will need to purchase and have installed part # 5303918307. It is a heater installed inside the unit to keep the temperature above 60 degrees. This costs an additional $187.24
The technician informed me that all NEW refrigerators are set up like this to meet energy efficient standards.
The product dies not advertise this fact so if you plan on using the refrigerator in your garage plan on spending extra money on a product that already has a high price tag.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Customer Nice fridge for the money
We are using this as a secondary fridge in the basement, and it is perfectly satisfactory. I was interested to observe that although it is about the same capacity as the fridge it replaced, it is differently proportioned. This refrigerator is taller, narrower and deeper. I happen to like this one better, because the interior shelves can accommodate more tall items.
We took advantage of the free delivery, and that was well coordinated, with timely delivery and no surprises. The unit arrived with some minor cosmetic blemishes, but with one phone call, Home Depot gave us a price adjustment that was very fair.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Detailer Excellent big basic fridge
Working very well since delivered Nov 2nd, 2014. Door seals give nice reassuring click sound when closed. Lots of room, including shelves in doors. Sometimes we hear odd noises when it runs, but it's fairly quiet, and sounds are explained in the product literature. Used a fridge thermometer to confirm perfect interior temp with controls set just a little past midpoint. Freezer compartment stays clean and dry, no frost visible. Wife wished there was a light in freezer compartment, but we came to realize it's not needed, so why complicate a very nice product. Great value.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Kayakman Compressor Died in Less Than 2 Years!
I bought this unit for our 2nd home - so it does not even get that much rigorous use...it's less than 2 years old, quit keeping things cold - repairman - who's very competent - said the compressor is shot, and probably best to just buy a new one!! LESS THAN 2 YEARS! These things are junk...don't buy one!
