Cls48, thank you for your inquiry. It is a great question. Front load washer model FFTW1001PW automatically calculates water level based on a dry load sensing procedure which determines load size before adding water to the tub. Feel free to review the User and Care Manual (http://www.homedepot.com/catalog/pdfImages/7a/7a1cad27-b34a-4ff4-8b41-4617d626d738.pdf). We hope this information is of assistance. Read More

I want another washer like this one but dimensions a bit too large for my space. Family members always buying new washers every couple years due to various problems. Read in consumer reports that Frigidaire had fewer repairs than other models. And at least the drum isn't plastic. Read Less

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by do not buy this washer you will hate this washer almost immediately. I won't go into detail. google "frigidaire washer troubleshooting" and read for yourself September 17, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Never had a problem I've had this washer for 2 years now and have never had a single problem with it. Very happy with the purchase. Considering purchasing the matching dryer as well. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] October 22, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great features I love all the features on this product. I haven't had any issues so far with it and that alone makes my family and I extremely happy [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] October 14, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Horrible I have nothing nice to say about this machine. This machine is of a very poor design and has a very loud vibrating sound that wakes me if I am sleeping or, in order to hear the tv I have to turn it up while machine is running. October 12, 2016
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Very Basic This washer is not one I personally picked out its what the option was with my mobile home purchase. I despise the locking lid. I will hit the pause button to add or adjust something and sometimes it won't unlock I will have to unplug it. I do not like that the water doesn't dispense until lid is shut so clothes are thrown on top of soap. Also there is not just a spin option for items that may be still too wet, just a rinse and spin so it adds more water. I do like the pre soak option for those set in stains. It does the job well but definitely not a purchase I would've made if I had been giving more options or were actually shopping around. August 1, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Easy to use, fairly quiet It came with the house we purchased and it has been very easy to use and does a great job [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] September 15, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Takes too long to wash! Washer came with the new house. Unfortunately, there does not seem to be a way to regulate the wash cycle. It takes way too long to do one wash. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] September 22, 2016
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by I'm torn We moved into a new build and this was selected for us. Overall it is great but there is one huge issue. It keeps ripping up clothes. So far a new set of sheets and a blouse have been ruined. Keeping our fingers crossed it stops and it was a fluke. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] September 14, 2016
