Rated 4 out of 5 by from No real complaints I've had mine for a couple of months now and it's been working great. My only complaint is that it's a little loud (that's why only 4 stars) but that's my bad for not doing more research on that aspect. I'm sure if I had went with the fancier washer (different brand) I was drooling over, it would have been quieter but I stuck to my budget and am very happy with the results. Rated 1 out of 5 by from Washer super sensitive to unbalanced loads I would NOT recommend this clothes washer. Two weeks ago (May 16, 2015) I took delivery of this new Frigidaire front load clothes washer Model no. FFFW5100PW. I was replacing a 17-year old Frigidaire front load clothes washer which had bearing failure for the second time. Despite the two bearing failures in 17 years, I was satisfied with the old Frigidaire front load clothes washer performance, particularly its low water use and fairly rapid cycle times, and was experienced with front load clothes washer idiosyncrasies including the need for balanced loads and leaving the door open after use to avoid mildew. However, the new washer has a severe problem which is that it is super sensitive to unbalanced loads (or weight) such that it won’t engage the final spin to remove water from the clothes. This extreme sensitivity to unbalanced loads or weight makes the washer difficult and time-consuming to use. For example, I washed eight bath towels (about two-thirds of a load) and it wouldn’t spin. I then removed four of the bath towels dripping wet, and the washer then did spin the remaining four bath towels. Subsequently, a mixed load consisting of assorted clothes, a bed sheet, and a bath towel would not spin. I removed the bed sheet and the bath towel and the remaining load spun. Subsequently, the bed sheet and the bath towel spun when placed by themselves in the washer. There have been other numerous examples of having to remove a number of dripping wet items from the washer to get it to spin the remainder of the load. I have never overloaded this new washer, in fact, I have never exceeded three-quarters load starting with dry clothes. This super sensitive final spin problem is such that doing the laundry now is a problem (as compared to the old clothes washer). I plan to try to repair the old clothes washer even though this will be expensive (back tub with bearings is $250.00 plus tax just for the part). Also, trying to get through to Frigidaire Customer Service on the 1-800 number seems to be impossible, and for some reason the email submission has been disabled on the Frigidaire Customer Service website. To repeat, I would NOT recommend this clothes washer.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Worthless Bought this 4.8 years ago and after 2 months the door lock had to be replaced. 4 months later it would not spin and front panel was replaced. 6 months after that would not spin and another front panel was replaced. This goes on every 6 months if you are lucky. Another 6 months and all three control panels were replaced that time. Now Saturday the rince & spin again. I'm sick and tired of getting this washer fixed at least 10 times now.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not my favorite! My husband bought the washer dryer pair a few years ago. The dryer is fine, but I can't stand the washer. Mainly for the same reason others have shared about the inconvenience of cleaning the gasket every time. Which I don't do, so therefore have constant mildew. Luckily my husband is handy and has replaced the gasket once already because it got ripped when a screw left in a pocket ripped the first one. That was not fun. He has also had to clean out the internal filter three times. When it gets clogged bad enough (hair, hair ties, etc.), the washer won't drain. Getting to this filter is beyond most handy-man capabilities and getting it back in is frustrating because of the many clamps and connections and the location in the machine. Today after he finally got the filter back on, it turns out the motor was kaput...possibly burned out when the machine wasn't draining. So, I picked up a new motor at the local parts store and that seemed to go in much easier than the filter. Drats. I was really hoping the machine would have died for good so I could go back to my favorite old top loader.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from does the job I've had this for about 3 months. My clothes are clean & not torn up, thankfully. Small items get caught in the rubber seal, and although this does not seem to impact performance, that small item is *probably* not clean. This leads me to the second issue: I've already had to clean/wipe out this rubber seal a couple times; I'm sure I'll be doing this continuously, especially if items are heavily soiled.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Agree with dlentz We are having the same issue with the "antimicrobial seal" it has actually turned into the opposite where it collects bacteria because water and dirt collects there and causes mildew. This will continue to happen unless you clean out the seal after every wash with a towel, which is very inconvenient and a horrible experience with a washing machine. It is really bad design when the product makes worse the one thing that it is supposed to do well (instead of cleaning , it causes mildew). I was perusing the site to find replacement seals and came across these reviews and had to comment.
