I've only had it a month but it's been working the whole time. It heats very high so it's helpful to have all the cycle variations. Haven't used the steam drying.

I bought the washer and dryer online at Home Depot less than 4 months ago. We wanted to stack them, but it was practically impossible to find the stacking kit. When the right item was finally located and sent to our local store, it was missing several of the adhesive strips.
Right from the start, the door on the washer did not latch properly. It always took several tries to get it to close without making that horrendous buzzing noise that occurs when the door is not properly latched. This evening, a Saturday, of course, when no one will be around to answer my call until Monday and when I must prepare to pack for a trip, the door will not close at all. It keeps bouncing back open. Also note that the laundry often comes out smelling like mildew. I don't leave wet loads sitting there and always empty the lint trap on the dryer. So perhaps the dryer is also a piece of fecal matter. I think that this has turned me off Frigidaire and Electrolux for life. Add this to the list of companies that make nothing but garbage these days.
I had the machines delivered on March 26th. This is July 16th, less than 4 months later.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Andy I would not purchase another Frigidaire.
I purchased a Firgidaire front load model washing machine three years ago. Lately, it started to make strange sounds, and when I had a Frigidaire authorized repairman come to take a look, he explained that several parts had gone out, and it would cost more to fix it than to just purchase a new machine. I called the company, and explained that I hadn't invested $700 only to have to purchase a new one 3 years later. They said that while they advertise that their products should last a good 10 years, that they are man made and mistakes happen. They offered to cover $100 of the cost. Other companies have much better customer service, and stand by their product. Don't waste your money.

We needed an emergent replacement washer, and the Frigidaire model wasn't in stock, but worth the slight wait. Its washing cycles, steam function, and self heating ability mean that our laundry is way cleaner than it had been with the previous washer. We love it. And the excellent Home Depot installation team also made the process less painful than we thought it was going to be.

Problems with unit on day one. Water remains full in bleach and softener dispenser after use. You must remove drawer and empty out in your sink every time. The door latch is not strong enough and the door pops open several times after initially shutting it. The load sensor for balancing takes forever and sometime never balances and will not allow the unit to spin leaving clothes soak and wet. You must wring out the clothes yourself at your sink to lighten the weight to get it to spin, Please stay away from this product ! After 3 service calls in 6 weeks, Frigidaire quit responding to my emails. I had to return the washer to the place of purchase at my expense. Do yourself a favor and stay with GE, Maytag, or Whirlpool.

I bought this washer because Frigidaire is the only one who makes a 36" high washer to fit under my countertop. I have already had a service call because the door doesn't stay closed.
