This is a narrow depth cooktop. If you’ve got the old version of this cooktop, this will fit into your existing cutout. If your power goes out, you can still light the burners with a match. The BTU’s are killer. My old cooktop took over an hour to boil water. This one? 7-8 minutes for a 12 gallon pot with a lid. I love the simmer burner; it’s great for your enameled cast iron. My old cooktop had open burners so this sealed burner is great for easy and quick cleanups. I love this white cooktop, it's so easy to clean, and no streaks or fingerprints. Only two downfalls with this cooktop; the plastic knobs get HOT on high heat as does the exterior of the cooktop. I cover the knobs when using high heat with multiple silicone baking cups while it’s in use so they don’t get destroyed by the high temps. (Cheesy, I know, but it works.) And you can’t use two burners for one large pan or griddle with this cooktop or it will get damaged, at least that’s what the manual states. The burner configurations is the front and rear burners on the left are 9500 BTU, the front right burner is 12000 BTU and the rear right burner 5000 BTU. Lastly, for the type of cooking that I do, this cooktop has more than enough power. I really do love this cooktop.

my product was deliver in bad conditions, 1 week late, after multiple phone calls to the deliver company associated with Home Depot, (waste of time) --wen the box was delivered it looked like it was dropped, torn and had several tears over it like if it was thrown to the floor several times -- I opened the box and the cook-top was scratch from the corner and it looked bad --

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by JackOf2Trades Best replacement for 18x36 inch cooktops
This cooktop replaced a wonderful O'Keefe and Merritt that defied valve refurbishing. It dropped right into the existing opening cut 55 years ago. For narrow widths this is a best buy out of only two available choices. It can be had for four hundred bucks in black which looks marvelous btw. Very light weight with a narrower depth compared to the O'Keefe and Merritt.

I have used my new stove top for about a month now and can't be happier that I have it. The greatest advantage over my previous one is how easy it is to keep clean. Oh no, it's the fast boil burner. Or is it the simmer burner? Really all three of these make my life so much easier. The knobs and grates are a snap to remove and replace for cleaning. The burners are enclosed so any spills or splatter are easily removed. The fast boil really is fast. And the simmer, oh my! I was at the library and realized I had left the pot of chili on simmer when I left home more than an hour earlier. I called my husband who then turned it off. No burnt chili! I love this new stove top!

Received it in Sept. '15. Amassed at the faster way it cooks and the less gas it uses.

Attractive, easy to use and easy to clean. The pilots never go out like on my older stove top. I could not be more pleased with this cooktop!
