Hello,

The instructions say I have to use this by the window. I won't by using this by a window. Is that OK? If so, how do I assemble it?

I'm concerned the drain pan will fill and overflow when I'm not in the room, and I'd like to avoid drilling through an exterior wall. Can the drain hose go through the same window as the vent hose?

Answer:
Writer, thank you for your inquiry! During the dehumidifying mode, you will need a garden hose (sold separately) to drain the condensate from the unit.
The hose may then:
A. Discharge into a drain that is lower than the unit.
B. Be connected to a condensate pump (sold separately).
We do hope this information is of assistance. If you have any additional questions or concerns, do not hesitate to contact

CUSTOMER REVIEWS

Rated 3.5 out of 5 by 8 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Its what I was looking for I got this few months ago for my son's room. It works great in Summer as an AC and now it works really good as a heater. I'm thinking on get one for my room and another one for my other son. January 14, 2016
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by second thoughts about portable units for a unit of this size does not cool a room of 400 sq ft enough to satifiy everyone that is in the room. instructions on web site indicated that the window kit was optional, and we thought it didnt need to be vented to outside. surprise surprise had to find some way of venting to outside since window is four feet off the ground. nice unit for heating house, which we plan on using this winter. August 25, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Pretty Awesome This unit is pretty awesome. Very comparable to others in the same price range but extra features make it useful year round. Only complaint is when the A/C unit is on, it can be a little on the loud side. August 28, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by infuriating garbage does not connect properly without duct tape. Makes a loud whining sound that keeps us up at night. Returning to depot. horribly dissapointed in their inability yo carry high quality products. July 2, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Unit was defective at shipment This unit never worked. It functioned as a fan only and did not cool the room at all. I was very disappointed in this product, and would not purchase this brand again July 17, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent Portable A/C and Heater Combination I bought this unit for not only the dual features, but for the overall design/features. I use it daily and it is much quieter than my previous Wall unit. Cooling is very fast, and I have to set the temperature higher or I'd freeze myself out at night. This has to be the best A/C Heater on the market today, and believe me I've checked too many to count. I would recommend the Frigidaire FRA09EPT1 for anyone looking for a well put together product. May 15, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent Product Product works perfectly for both heating and cooling a small room! February 20, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Wonderful machine! I bought this portable unit last summer. It was so hot and humid I could hardly breathe. This machine cooled my room down so quickly. I'm not sure where I would be without it. Thank you, fridgaire! December 27, 2013
