Product Overview

The Frigidaire Gallery 30 in. Induction Cooktop combines the power of gas with the easy clean-up of electric to give you the utmost cooking flexibility. Induction cooking is 70% more efficient than gas and 20% more efficient than electric and offers more responsive, exceptional temperature control at low and high heats so it is gentle enough to melt chocolate and powerful enough to boil water. And because heat is generated directly in the cookware, the cooktop stays cooler to the touch, making it safer and easier to clean. Induction elements are compatible with most stainless steel and cast iron cookware. If a magnet sticks to the bottom of a pot or pan, it is induction friendly.

  • 4 powerfully efficient induction elements are more responsive than gas or electric and offer up to 3,400-Watt of power, so you can easily go from simmer to boil
  • Express-Select Electronic Touch Controls are sleek in design and easily go from warm to boil with the touch of your finger
  • The Induction Cooktop offers more precise temperature control, with a 2,300-Watt element that is gentle enough to melt chocolate and a 10 in. element with up to 3,400-Watt that is powerful enough to quickly boil water
  • With induction cooking, heat is generated directly in the cookware, so the cooktop stays cooler to the touch - making it safer and easier to clean
  • Ceramic glass cooktop is sleek in style and easy to clean
  • Sensors detect the presence of a pan, so when a pot is removed and the element is still on, the cooktop will automatically turn off
  • Indicator lights illuminate when the cooking surface is hot
  • Approved for installation over a single wall oven
  • Limited One-Year Warranty with extended functional parts protection nationwide; varies by appliance

Hello. Dumb question here as I know nothing about how the ranges and cooktops are manufactured. I'm sure the answer to this question is no, but here goes. I currently have a 30" Frigidaire electric glass top range. Can I physically take the electric cooktop out of the current range and physically place this induction cooktop into the unit and still have both function properly? Thanks.

Hi Me,
Thank you for your submission. We certainly understand your concern with wanting to know if you are able to place an induction cooktop on your current electric glass top range. In researching the information, we recommend that you do not make any modifications to your range for proper electrical usage purposes. Thank you for your inquiry.

Looking for the number of different levels of heat that each burner has. Some other brands list 17 levels, while some list 9 levels, etc. I don't see anything listed for this model.

Rated 4.7 out of 5 by 31 reviewers.
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Super Fast Heating For the most part we are very happy with this cooktop. It looks amazing, heats quickly, and is very easy to clean. Our one complaint is the largest burner (on the bottom right). It does not heat up as quickly as the others, and seems to put out less power in general. The repairman said that I need to use a larger pan....apparently even my big square pancake griddle isn't large enough to form a proper connection. I am a bit skeptical, and plan to purchase a larger induction-friendly pan so that I can test it out before the warranty expires. August 19, 2016

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Heats up really fast Love the induction cooktop for the modern look. Kind of hard to clean without leaving streaks, does not cool down as quick as all the videos show. Is not cool to the touch after cooking. Like all burners it needs to cool off for about 15min. June 8, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great value We love it, very fast heating, clean lines, looks great and great value June 16, 2016
