This is a beautiful refrigerator, but that's where my praise stops. We bought this as a so-called "Special Buy" (read: Defective) from Home Depot. Within a few months, water began dripping out of the ice chute. I checked and NOPE, ice was NOT getting caught in the chute and melting. However, the ice in the ice bin did seem a little wet. Fast forward to warranty expiration date. Ice maker stopped making ice and ice maker fan became very noisy. I pulled out the ice bin and noticed that the fan was freezing up, so I defrosted it with a hair dryer and it resumed working. After a few months it stopped again, so we went without ice for a while. I finally got around to calling in an "expert" because I wanted it fixed. Well, for $264, he replaced the ice maker, but still I had NO ICE!! Waste of $264 because nothing was actually wrong with the ice maker. After troubleshooting the problem myself (want anything done right...you have to do it yourself still holds true), the REAL issue is the Defrost Heater. One of these days I'll replace it myself too, but in the meantime (if I want ice), I'll just defrost the fridge every 4 days!!!

Nothing but problems with this refrigerator. The first one had a water leak so needed to return and replace. The second one had a leak from the freezer gasket, which took two repairmen to replace; because the first repair tech argued that the gasket was fine.
We have had the refrigerator for 2 years now and neither of the two ice makers work, the bottom door plastic cracked and Frigidaire refuses to repair anything. If you buy any products with the Frigidaire name make sure to buy an extended warranty, you will need it!

Before purchasing this product I had read several reviews on it - some good and some not so good. We've had this refeigerator for about two months and can truly say it is the best of its kind. Some said the ice maker didn't work very well. After the air was bled from the line it works very well. Some said the doors would not shut right. My refrigerator sits level and there is no problem.

A month after purchasing the ice maker stopped working. It took 3 months to get anyone to come to the house to repair it. It has now been serviced over 7 times and still not fixed. They won't replace the lemon, they say the service person has to declare it repairable, yet they send different companies over to fix it and blame it on the repair people. Oh it must be all 3 companies not the refrigerator!

Very pleased with my new fridge. Runs quiet, makes my crushed ice and looks so great. Bought stove to match after I seen how good it looked in my kitchen. Lots of room too! Great price for the large size. Upgraded from a 22 cf. So very happy with all my purchases.

This is a review of the product not Home Depot.
I dislike writing negative reviews, but this one I feel is necessary to help protect other consumers!
Do not buy the Frigidaire French Door refrigerator model FGHB2866PF.
Electrolux is the parent company of Frigidaire. My complaint is with the Frigidaire French Door refrigerator model FGHB2866PF. The unit has a design flaw with the ice maker. I've owned the refrigerator for about 9 months and the ice maker has broken 3 times and had 2 repair attempts. The fan in the ice maker is not properly insulated from the rest of the refrigerator so moisture condenses on the fan in the icemaker which then freezes preventing it from working properly.
I want to stress the severity of this. This is not an issue with my unit. This is an issue with the model. You can easily search the Frigidaire site and find others have had the same problem. Just look for the 1 star review. Furthermore, when the repairman was out here last, his next stop was another customer with the same problem on the same model.
Frigidaire needs to fix this problem.
If you have had the same experience, I encourage you to get the word out to warn others!

I have had this refrigerator for about a month and I'm very disappointed in the product. I have had several refrigerators in the past that are much less expensive and are much better in design.
On the good side, the looks of the refrigerator are nice and it does a good job resisting smudges.
Here are my concerns that I have talked to Home Depot and Frigidaire about and they both say "that's just the way it is":
1. The left door will not stay in the open position. According to the service tech who came to look at it, it has to do with the ice maker and is poorly designed. The door has to be physically held open to get to the left side of the refrigerator. Definitely a problem when your hands are full or when unloading groceries.
2. The ice maker leaks water onto the floor. According to Frigidaire customer service, ice can get caught in the chute, melt, and leak all over. Their recommendation is to open fridge after each time getting ice and make sure there is no ice in the chute. This is ridiculous. Who does that? Why can't they make a refrigerator that doesn't have this design flaw?
3. It is loud. There is always a hum of a fan. It's much louder than the 10-year old refrigerator that I replaced.
Overall I would NOT recommend this refrigerator. Frigidaire has been worthless in their customer support. Was not what I was looking for in a refrigerator and now I'm stuck holding the door open and with puddles on the floor.

What everyone is saying is true. The icemaker is horrible and our entire unit completely quit 2 times the first two years we had it. Spoiled food and trying to quickly move food somewhere to keep it cold. I am on first name basis with the repair man who's been here so many times. Flaw with the icemaker for sure!!
And-it doesn't seal or shut very well. Frequently find it open because its so tempermental. Not to mention our seal stripping keeps peeling off, soon after we got it. That's been replaced twice. We've only had the unit a couple years.
Plus, the unit is so deep, food gets lost in the back. Can't see it. That part is my fault for not thinking through the design.
Biggest piece of junk we have ever purchased, so disappointed!!!!
