Very pleased with this toaster. After a lot of research, including Consumer Reports, the Frigidaire, made by Electrolux, was top rated. Best price via Home Depot online. It is attractive with all the usual offerings-bagel size, pops up (extra) for taking out smaller pieces, cancel button, timer shows count down, etc. Wish it had a bell or some type of notification when toast is ready. I just have to be "thinking" about toast - no friendly noise to notify me. I would buy it again. I like the setting for browning and it fits all bread I've tried. I would also buy from Home Depot again, too! Arrived fast - perfect condition!

After a few weeks use I can confirm that this is a pretty good toaster. Ours produces evenly browned toast with a single trip through (no turning it over and running it through again like our old junker). Haven't used it for anything but toast and thin muffins, so I can't speak to how it does with bagels. There are a couple of small drawbacks: the metal on top gets quite hot so beware of that, and the stainless steel and blocky design make it look more massive than it really is. But overall this one is a keeper for us: it actually makes good, even toast! Yeah!

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by JimP Makes Perfect toast and English Muffins
Our new toaster makes perfect toast (at the default "4" setting it toasts evenly and stops on the verge of burning the toast). If you like lighter toasting, use the built-in timer and cancel with 10-15 second left. Using the "3" setting will get you much lighter slices.. Makes the best English Muffins I have ever tasted ("7" setting) -- extremely crunchy and evenly toasted. The "bagel" setting produces toasted bagels on the sliced side and untoasted on the outside. No toaster we've ever owned did as good a job.

The toaster was highly rated by Consumer Reports, so I bought it. Yes, it is pretty good. Slight problems with consistency of toast. A little pricey for the toaster, but not as expensive as higher-priced toasters.

I like the countdown timer. The toaster does a good job of even toasting.

Love the style and features. The only downside so far is the toaster toasted bread perfectly on the number 4 setting when we first got it, now you need to use the 1 or 2. Still, great buy!

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by GG I expected more for the money.
I read toaster reviews before I purchased this Frigidaire.
I wanted "even" bread toasting and sufficient "time" to toast English muffins.
Unfortunately, bread was toasted a bit unevenly from one side to the other.
All six toasters I've purchased in the last two years have the same problem - uneven toasting.
I could live with the uneven toasting, but my wife could not live with the fact that English muffins were barely toasted at all on the highest setting.
This is also a common problem with many toasters.
I don't like returning items, but I had to return this $50 toaster.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Missmytoast Good product, poor quality control
We were very disappointed. We like the Frigidaire brand name, this model has all the features we wanted, and the price was excellent. It arrived on time.... except it won't toast the bread. Probably this is simply a loose connection inside the unit, but for a brand new unit, we expected it to work when we got it. This is a two-slice toaster - the interior heating elements near the center worked, but the ones along the outsides did not. So you get two slices of bread, each toasted only on one side! Have to note it is labeled as made in China, but so much of what we buy these days comes from there. All they had to do was plug it in and try it -- ours did not stop working after initially working OK; it never worked to start with. So the Quality Control was just altogether absent!
