Rated 2.4 out of 5 by 5 reviewers.
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Seal does not hold I purchased about 45 pieces of this product in varying sizes. I used it around iron heat pipes in my basement. At first I was very happy with product . I installed all the pieces in about 1.5 hours. The next day I returned to the basement and 90 percent of the pieces popped open. Attempted to reseal three times with similar results. Manufacture offered metal tape and/or replace items. I believe this is unsatisfactory because it does not take into account the time/labor/high product cost in having to redo job several times. Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Adhesive doesn't hold I had the same problem with the adhesive as mentioned by other reviewers. I installed a few pieces to test it, and less than an hour later they had all come loose. If you are going to install this product, get some foil tape and seal the tubes yourself -- it will save you time and frustration later. Still, even with the taping, it is much easier to install than the rolls of wrap-style insulation. Another problem I had was that the openings of the tubes were larger than marked on the outside. The insulation made for 2 1/2" pipes had an opening that was actually 2 3/4" to 3" in diameter. In order to get them to fit snugly on the pipe, I had to trim them down. You may want to measure these in the store before you buy them and consider getting the next size smaller that whatever the label says. August 18, 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Do not waste your money I had same issue as other comments. The adhesive does not work. I installed yesterday... Go to basement today, half of the insulation is unwrapped. Plus, home depot only offers half inch thickness...this is inadequate for steam. AND IT IS VERY OVER PRICED. YOU CAN EASILY ORDER IT ONLINE, THE RIGHT THICKNESS, FOR 30℅ LESS October 4, 2014
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Pipe insulation The product's adhesive was somewhat weak, and the strip that gets removed prior to installation was difficult to remove. July 29, 2014
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by pipe insulation the diameter was larger than labeled had to cut to fit October 7, 2014
