All the reviews said how easy it was to snap in. Watched youtube and others. We struggled for over an hour. We have a Stanley metal door from the late 80's and it should have fit but the fins that pop in were slightly too far apart and would not go in. Broke it trying to hammer it in. Put the old one back on the door. Will have to get a real one from a door store. Disappointing as it is now raining and we could not complete the job.

I installed three of these to replace the OEM bottoms that were failing after 13 years of use. Two of three failed after about 1 year where the fins started to tear off. The one that did not fail is on an interior door protected from the elements. I decided to track down the OEM bottoms and install these to replace the failing Frost Kings. I believe the key difference is that the OEM did not manufacture these out of cheap PVC. Save yourself the time and trouble and find quality bottoms elsewhere.

I purchased an older home and had the usual inspection. A few days after moving in the bugs moved in with us. Everything that could crawl came in. I called a home pest service. They were all too willing to have me sign an expensive pest control contract.
I looked around and the door had torn stripping on the bottom.
Looking online, I found the stripping in the right size for the door and it was in stock. I went to the store and within an hour the door and bug problem were over. Very easy to install.

This replacement bottom did not last very long, in my opinion. I have a 32 inch pre-hung Stanley steel door purchased from Home Depot in 2002. The original lasted about 8 years. I replaced it with after-market universal fits several times. Found this one at HD and gave it a try. I had to trim to size, which wasn't at all difficult with a sharp utility knife. It seemed to fit good with no drag or binding. In other words, it just "touched" the threshold as it should. It only lasted 2 months until one thin sweep came off, followed by another the next week. Then about three weeks later the rounded "outside piece" peeled off. Gotta due it again with el Nino on the way toward my west facing door!

This was for a home depot door bought without the bottom. The top tabs didn't fit into the grooves and several types of glue wouldn't hold it in place.

Great product, perfect fit for my 1.75" X 36" wide entry door. Although it is listed as a replacement for a Stanley steel door, it worked perfectly with my 6-panel, non-metal "no-name" door. The original sweep that came with my door had deteriorated from the Florida sun. I ordered this one because it had the "bulb" or "tube" construction that fits up against the door stop, like my original sweep, and works well to keep out the critters. The instructions were simple to follow, and the product installed in a matter of minutes. I'm happy!

Perfect replacement. Instructions say to take the door off the hinges but it isn't necessary. All you need is a screw driver to pry the old strip off.

This was a Stanley replacement part for my door. Fit and mounted properly on the door, but is now difficult to open or close due to
Different design of seal.
As time goes on it is seating and getting better, but not like original seal was when I bought door.
