The original stripping around my door was beige so I replaced all of it with this white Kerf which required 3 pieces (this is NOT a kit as others have mentioned in the Q&A; this is a single 96 inch piece). I had the job completed, including removing the old Kerf seals and cutting the new ones to length, in just over 10 minutes. The white color matches the white door frame and is a much nicer look, in my opinion, than a different color Kerf. REMOVAL You may need to use a flat blade screwdriver to remove the old seal but only to get it started. Once you have one edge separated from the door, you can just gently pull and it comes away from the door like peeling away tape after painting. PREPARATION Once you have all the old removed, take a close look at how the top and side Kerf/slots overlap or how they do not. It's important to understand how each corner at the top of the door overlaps to insure you cut the pieces the correct length. For example, I needed a full "door length" piece on one side, 95% "door width" at the top and 95% "door length" on the other side for the top corners to meet properly and create a complete seal to the door. INSTALLATION To install the new Kerf, just press the PVC piece into the slot on one end and slowly work your way to the other end. You don't need any tools, you can just press it in by hand. I found standing outside the door with my thumb on the outside of the frame, wrapping my fingers around the Kerf and closing my hand was the easiest way to install it. Be sure to lay your piece in properly so the "top point" of the Kerf (where the two foam edges meet) always faces towards the center of the door opening. Now the next time the dog decides to tear it up, I'll know what to do.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Door is sealed now Used this to replace the one where the French-style doors come together. As the dog was growing up, he would scratch on the door (hit the weather stripping instead) to be let in. There was a serious draft. This new Vinyl-clad Foam Kerf door seal works great. Although, I'll have to buy another one by this time next year. The dog is already tearing this one with his claws... Don't mind, the seal was very easy to install and no tools were needed.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Won't stay in kerf Needed new weatherstripping for my steel entry doors. The original weatherstripping has little fins that slip into the kerf and hold the weatherstripping securely in place. This just has a piece of foam. It installs easily - - but it falls out just as easily as soon as I open and close the door a few times.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Super easy installation and great fit. I just completed redoing all the seals around every door frame in my house. I'm not a pro by any means but I finished the entire job of 4 doors is just over 1 hour.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product, Wish it was available in black or brown Great product, Wish it was available in black or brown. If you have the groove already in your dooframe, this is the only stripping you should use. It works great for a tight seal.
