We have an old house and leaky windows, especially in the basement, is the norm. The tape does a decent job sealing and has good adhesion to painted surfaces (OK on bare wood, but not as good as painted surfaces). The issue I have is the tape doesn't stay on the spool. I don't know if the spool is wound too tightly or the non-adhesive side is so smooth that the adhesive side won't stay on, but the tape spool looks like a tape volcano after about 4 months. This is the second roll I've had that has done this, and the latest roll has been the best volcano to date.

I would urge everyone to keep a roll around the house at all times even if you rent. It can keep out the draft around windown and doors. If you use plastic to cover your windows even if knew it can help hold the plastic in place. I never had it pull paint and it comes off very easy. Get a roll today and help keep your heat bill in check.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Doesn't stick well enough I've used it for the last three years, only because 1) my landlord paid for it and 2) it was convenient to buy. It simply does not stick well to gloss painted surfaces, or to stained molding around the door frame. I kept using it because I am concerned that stickier tape might damage the paint when it is eventually removed, but I am now at the point where I will try stickier tape and take my chances. I gave it two stars because it is soft enough to form around irregular edges, but that is not enough reason to recommend it.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Useless An expensive product that promises all the advantages of a specialised tape but delivers nothing but frustration and contempt for Frost King products. I turned to this specialised product to alleviate a few problems I found with dollar rolls of similar tape purchased from Dollar Tree and Ocean State Job Lots. Frost King claims this tape will stay adhered at temperatures of -10 F, I am using inside at 60 F and it just falls off. This is the worst type of rubbish....expensive rubbish. I have solved the greater problems posed by Frost King Weather Seal Tape by using the cheaper alternatives again, these are superior to Frost King Tape So to sum up Frost King Weather Seal Tape;it does not work.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Did not stick to painted frames Used with window insulation film. Spent an hour sealing two windows and a door frame to attic. Came back two hours later and half of it was off. Now i have to seal it all over again.
