Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by noname Incorrect product information
I went to buy this product at the HD in Prattville, AL. However, the info on this website and the info on the shelf sticker do not match the product package. The model # and the bar code i# are identical, but the product packaging says it's adjustable from 1-1/8 to 1-9/16. See pics.
How can I give a rating if it's not even the correct product?

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by DraftyDan Terrible Quality Vinyl
When I read reviews, I try to ignore the "one stars" and see whether others had a more positive experience. Unfortunately, I feel compelled for the first time to leave such a review.
The aluminum itself is of fine quality. The issue is with the vinyl. First, the vinyl edges that are supposed to weather seal the threshold itself. After putting them on, it is impossible to keep them on long enough to be able to screw down the threshold. Frustrating design.
Now for the main vinyl insert that is supposed to meet the door. It is easy enough to put on when holding the threshold in your hands and starting from the end and sliding it over in the grooves. Unfortunately the threshold is designed so you must screw down the aluminum without the vinyl, and then "pop" the vinyl into the grooves (you can't slide from the ends since the threshold is now flush with your door frame). This is impossible to do. I have looked online and tried the warm soapy water method to no avail. I have tried to use flathead screwdrivers, putty knives, and other tools to squeeze the edges into the grooves but it just isn't possible. I have a double door so it is frustrating that I spent almost $40 on a product that doesn't work. Now I have a threshold without a rubber crown installed and have to decide what to do next.

This product absolutely functions as advertised. That being said, there is a serious problem with the installation of the vinyl top. The illustration on the package shows incorrect installation position. It is not easy to install, contrary to videos and instructions. It needs to be installed like the illustration on the website, not the package. I am a seasoned do it yourself and this took me 3 hours. Never again. Busted putty knife, busted knuckles. Use soapy water to lubricate the installation...I installed one side first. The second was more difficult. Found success rubbing the vinyl into the groove with the backside of a screwdriver. Never again.

The aluminum part of this threshold is fine. But the vinyl install is terribly designed and nearly impossible to insert. They should have designed it so that the screws were not under the vinyl.
Their instructions and the video that make it seem "so easy" are a farce. A plastic putty knife plus soap plus soaking in water absolutely WILL NOT get this gasket in the groove. Resorting to any other tools will tear the vinyl. This thing is absolute junk!
I don't mind seeing screws, Weather King! Make a better product!

I had an old model that I installed about 20 years and had to replace the vinyl once before. I had to replace it again and Frost King changed the design so I had to replace the entire saddle. The new design is terrible. The vinyl insert softens in the heat of the summer and constantly comes out. The lip is insufficient to hold it in place. I took the sweep off the door so it barely touched the vinyl and it still came out. The old design is better. I can understand their cheapening it up so they sell more inserts but the insert should stay in place.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by SlickRick Great temporary solution
Just installed today and with cutting to size and the actual install, it took about 45 minutes. Followed instructions and applied soap to vinyl and it snapped right in, even with the cold air making the vinyl stiff. It's not the prettiest but neither is my old junky door. Stopped the draft and will do until I have the money and time to replace it.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by FromTheGarage Works Great To Fill Door Bottom Gap
We had a large gap to fill at the bottom of the door. The adjustable height threshold works great in combination with a door bottom seal with drip edge. It was easy to install. The hardest parts was installing the vinyl insert in the threshold.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Barbara This was so easy to install.
Great product for those doors that open in and the under the door weather stripping isn't the best for going over the floor/carpet. It was so easy to install and works like a charm.
