I don't use this product as it is displayed on the box because I have a door mat that would make it difficult for the draft stop to slide across the floor. I bought it to prevent the grounds keeper from blowing dirt under my door with the leaf blower. All I do is put the draft stop at the base of the door on the outside between the security door and the outside door. The width of the draft stop is PERFECT to keep it in place and so far there has been no dirt coming under my door. Good price, good product, and it did exactly what I bought it to do.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by lfs91 Requires modification for a thin door
This type of draft stop is a great concept, but I found that it didn't work for my 1.25" thick door-- the tubes just lay far away from the door on either side and provided no real airflow reduction. I ended up stuffing the inner side of each tube compartment with some polyester fiberfill (and since I had cut off almost 4" of the tubes for my door, I also cut off the excess fabric including the zipper and just sewed up the end). Now it fits the door more snugly and works well, but the fabric itself is thin and time will tell if it's durable. When it wears out I will make another using the tubes, fiberfill, and some sturdier fabric.

This draft stopper works well, is easy to customize the fit to a door meeting it's size requirements. And as a unforeseen bonus along with stopping under door drafts it has also greatly diminished sound from outside the door.

The draft stop was exactly what I was looking for. I live in an apartment and have a huge opening under my front door. Although it leads to a closed hallway, it's open to any rodent or bugs. I also loose cool air and it raises my energy bill. The door stop is extremely economical and easy to instal. I set it up in seconds. It worked perfectly. I definitely recommend this product.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Unknown Best few dollars I've spent
For just over 8$ with tax... I didn't have high expectations, however after getting it home, sliding it on my front door, I am pleased beyond my expectations. I've seen similar products sell for double, and more. Why? This product works for exactly what it was intended. I live in a condo, and different people smoke, cook ( strange odors ), noise... lights... etc. This product blocks all that and keeps the air/heat in and what I don't want out! It costs 8$.... its not an eye sore to me, yes its cost is cheap and very very simplistic! BUT it is a beautiful accessory to do what it was supposed to! Simple, easy to install, fits perfect, and slides with ease on my carpet!

This draft stop did the job of stopping cold air from entering our house. It isn't the most quality product, but I felt we got good bang for our buck.

I am so happy I bought this product! So worth it!! I don't have a storm door on my front door, so we've always have cold air seeping in. This stopped it completely!! The only thing is I have tile in my foyer so the Draft Stop would move out of place when opening the door. Easy fix, though. Just placed a tack at the hinged-end to keep it secure. Stays put now! Love it!

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by CLM1 Helps with soundproofing, thank goodness!
I picked this up to help soundproof our door. We had just finished filling our hollow door with expandable insulation foam and realized that there was enough of a gap below our door that we could still hear conversations on the other side. I ran over to our Home Depot and picked this up based off the online reviews and I'm very pleased that I did. Just closing off that gap has made a huge difference.
We have carpet and it slides easily across without rolling up. The tubing inside is very easily cut down to size so set up was simple.
The guard does make a 'swooshing' sound on the carpet but that's alright with me. I'd rather hear that when opening and closing my door than everything else that is going on in the house.
Definitely worth the money. I haven't tried any of the more expensive models so I can't compare them but I do suggest trying this cheaper version out first. Why pay more when this one does what it is supposed to? :)
