need just wood replacement for this

Not available as a stand alone product.. You'd have to mill your own if you just need the wood filler backing. Either that, or go to a local mill shop.

i have a 65 inch double door, can i install two (2) thresholds end to end and will it work? or do you have any in that length?
Asked by: bill
You would never want to butt to thresholds end to end for an exterior door. The butt joint would never be able to be sealed well enough to prevent water entry and rot later on. a 72" threshold cut down to proper length would be better.

Its the same thing that comes pre installed on most of the prehung doors you buy from the lumber yard. So if you need a new one or one to retro fit. This will work! Most of the complaints on here are from people who don't know what theyre doing whining that there wasnt a carpentry manual explaining all the intricate details and the theory that a carpenter has in his head. If you arent a carpenter dont blame the product, blame youre lack of skil.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Frost King threshold is very poor quality the papers say this is oak but the inner board is definitely softwood, and one of the nuts for adjustment screws came loose and the screw won't come out of it, so that screw is afloat; I'm very disappointed in the quality of this item

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not a fan The instructions were horrible, poor product overall. I expect to replace this threshold with a shorter amount of time than the one I took out. The soft wood underneath that serves as the foundation will certainly rot as it is bare wood, not treated with anything at all. I did purchase a product to waterproof it for an additional ten dollars.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from horrible I worked on this for several hours and have not yet installed, on 2 of the hole recesses I had to deepen them because the heads of the screws were to high above the the wood. I cannot figure how the adjustment works so I will install and lower the door bottom to fit. In all my years as a contractor, I have never used a worse product. The 1st Frost king I bought advertised 1 1/8" and the lowest it went was 1 1/2" took it back got 2nd one, all day job and still did not work well. Instructions terrible.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from I expected better for the price, and here's why... The product is installed and working in my home. If you are looking for a premium solution, this isn't it. I am particularly critical because this choice is by-far the the most expensive offered. 1.This product isn't designed for a door of exactly 30" width (very common), So what?; The fastener are located exactly upon the edge you will be trimming. You won't be able to use all four adjusting fasteners without using additional materials. 2. Oak is only used where visible. So what?; The soft wood used in the base could easily split when installing t-nuts, trimming to length, or fastening to the floor, Pressing the finsh strip in place creates additional tension on the base, so a minor split could become worse, and strip won't seat as intended. 3. Adjustable oak strip is not reversible. holes are off-center. So what?; If the holes were in the 'center', you could trim trim this piece from either end without accidentally ruining the kit and having to purchase another to finish the install. An obvious opportunity to make a better product. 4. The instructions are incomplete; Which side do you insert the T-nuts on? Do you need to use all four adjusting fasteners? No mention of how to adjust the height or how should work. A diagram could solve this.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Cheap wood The wood trim split when I was installing it. The wood was also split on the end before I cut it. Cheap
