The first side of the tape sticks well but I can't remove the backing from the tape so I can stick the plastic to the window.

Answer:
you should heat up the tape with a hair dryer once it is applied to the surface, once the heat hits the tape (at the end you wish to peel), you will see the backing start to lift off the tape itself. hope that helps!

Answer:
Try placing a small bladed knife under the edge of the tape. That usually will help getting the paper backing off.

Answer:
No. The tape is easily removed after a regular season of use. Heating it up a little with a blow-drier and/or using a little bit of rubbing alcohol on a paper towel will take care of any stubborn spots.

Answer:
If this painted area around the window has been painted within the last 6 months, the tape will not hold. At the end of the winter season, be careful when removing the tape-- watch how to remove shrink tape on www.frostking.com--it should not damage the wall.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by came off clean as well I wanted to wait untill i take them out after winter. they were good during winter and came out clean without hurting my trim.9\ April 24, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Much warmer! So I decided to cover up my fireplace due to it being so drafty. I saw this and had the hubby go get me a pack. Opened it up and it had three individual plastic sheets. Used one, measured and cut accordingly. Followed the directions, which took less then 10 mins of my time. Instantly, the cold was gone. My husband came down stairs surprised that I had it already done and felt the difference in the living room. I'm so happy with the results!! I will be doing this every winter now. Pros: super easy to install, did the job! Cons: needs wider tape. January 21, 2016
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Mehhh I have a sun room attached to the house in the back that isn't insulated all that well and the old windows leak air bad. I bought this to help keep out some cold air. Half of it is holding strong other half the sticky tape is peeling up. Used it on the outside of one window and the tape lasted a day before it peeled up. January 30, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Dissapointed It hasn't been 24 hours yet since i've installed this product at a window and the bottom is already loose. i followed the directions very precisely and even took time to smooth out and clean the surface before adhesion. the only reason why i settled for this is because i could not find the 3M brand in the Ozone Park Home depot. never again will i purchase these window insulator kits! January 15, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by more trouble than its worth the tape wouldnt stay on the window sills at all...better off buying rolls of sheeting and clear packing tape! January 23, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by love it Put this on windows every winter works great still get all the sun light and can see out keeps the cold out and the heat it well worth the money December 10, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Easy to use, good value Excellent value with everything, except for a hair blower, you need to have a good insulation for windows. I used them for my basement windows, which are not low E grade. December 8, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Avoid at all cost I spent about an hour cleaning/dusting and applying 4 of these to my windows and by the time I finished the 4th window I noticed that the first 2 has completely let go, I went to HD and got a full return on the 3pk and 9pk I had purchased and instead got the 3M kits like I had planned in the first place. Don't try to save a few bucks, get the better quality ones, unlike myself who is now redoing all the windows I did this morning. Boo October 31, 2015
