Answer: 
Herb, you can adjust the spray distance and flow rate by turning the screw at the top of the sprinkler head. Similar to "righty-tighty, lefty-loosey," rotating the screw counter-clockwise will allow for more flow, while clockwise rotation will result in less flow.
