Product Overview

The dBcover LVT is a superior scientifically designed underlay for luxury vinyl tile and vinyl plank applications. Made of a premium high density rubber and natural acoustic sand, the dBcover LVT Underlay is an excellent insulator, sound reducer, and leveling agent for both commercial and residential use. This product can be installed above dry and completely cured concrete, interior plywood, gypsum board, cement backer units, orientated strand board, and existing vinyl, wood, laminate, or ceramic floors.

Thank you for your question. The dBcover product is meant for under the Luxury Vinyl Planks. I am not sure I understand what you are asking regarding the carpet.

Thank you for your question. Installing over ceramic tile, you do need to skim coat prior to installing the dBcover product.

voided warranty

The floating LVP that I purchased stated that installation over an underlayment would void the warranty. Do you know why that might be? I wanted to use this underlayment to absorb some of the flaws of a very old house. Thanks in advance!

Thank you for your question. dBcover underlayment goes on top of the structural support of your floor and under your actual flooring. It is designed to create a smooth, durable surface. dBcover has a thickness of .059 inches which should be suitable for this application.

Thank you for your question. Yes the product can be glued to the LVT. Please follow the LVT manufacturer's installation instructions for this application.
