voided warranty

The floating LVP that I purchased stated that installation over an underlayment would void the warranty. Do you know why that might be? I wanted to use this underlayment to absorb some of the flaws of a very old house. Thanks in advance!
Asked by: Novice
Thank you for your question. dBcover underlayment goes on top of the structural support of your floor and under your actual flooring. It is designed to create a smooth, durable surface. dBcover has a thickness of .059 inches which should be suitable for this application.
