I originally bought this product for the Extra Long Cuff claim. If you read in the description the extra long cuff states 14" cuff. I have a wood stove and when loading I often have part of my arm exposed where the glove does not come down to. Well the over all length of the glove is 14", and it is no longer than the gloves I have. The other concern is the material the glove is made of is questionable whether or not you should be using it in a fireplace/wood-stove setting. It is a very nice looking glove, well put together, and a good price, just not really matching up to the description for my intended use. I will say the homedepot was great, I bought the item on line from then and had no problem bringing it back to the store for the full refund.

I bought these to protect my arms from the scratches I normally get while working in the yard, trimming bushes, etc. So far I've just used tested them while cleaning the jacked up deck of the lawn tractor. I was concerned that they might be tight and not be flexible. I have larger hands than most, but these fit fine and were comfortable and flexible. They seem rugged enough to withstand plenty of abuse. Free shipping to home was a bonus.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by Equestrian Great all-around gloves
I purchased these to use for picking critters up out of the road, tarantulas, etc. I needed leather gloves heavy enough to keep things from biting/stinging thru to my hands and long enough to keep them from getting to my arms. These are perfect! They
reach almost to my elbows, I'm a women, and the leather is very heavy and well made. One of the salespeople was very helpful and looked these up on his computer. I was able to order the gloves online thru him with no delivery charge.
Great product at a very reasonable price.

Rated 4 out of 5Â by Pirotecnico Good, but be careful.
These work well, and have great comfort, while still giving me full motion with my hands. But be careful holding onto anything hot for too long. I was season cast iron skillets, and holding one for too long I could feel the burn. I thought it would work better than the 5 dollar pot holder, but its probably better for fire protection than heat. Still a good buy for my smoker.

These fireplace gloves work pretty well. I got these for use around my charcoal grill. They work great for moving hot grills and the charcoal starting chimney. The long cuff protects the arms. One thing to remember is that these are not welding glove quality. If you hold on to a hot part for any length of time, you will feel the heat. Like I said, they work great for me.
