Product Overview

The G-Floor Garage Door Threshold seal mounts directly to your garage floor creating a better seal for your door. The new tighter seal will help prevent anything from being blown under your door such as water, dirt, leaves and snow. In addition the seal helps reduce air drafts saving on energy costs throughout the year. The seal is attached directly to the floor creating a physical barrier preventing moisture from seeping in where there may be an uneven surface. The threshold is one solid piece of vinyl with no gaps or cracks so your barrier is solid. This product is compatible with all types of doors. One cartridge of adhesive included for mounting trim directly to floor.

The threshold trim has a smooth half and a ribbed half with a 1/4 inch raised section down the middle. Should the garage door land on just the smooth (facing outside) with the raised section and the ribbed section on the inside of the garage or should the garage door land with the raised section in the middle of the garage door weather stripping and the smooth section facing inside the garage and the ribbed section facing outside the garage?
Thanks

Answer:
I placed the raised and ribbed section facing outside. The logic being that this would provide more more resistance to any wind issues blowing against the door.

Answer:
The suggested application for the threshold is to install the smooth side facing inside the garage with the door coming to rest outside the raised section on the ribbed side of the threshold.

I have laminate flooring in my living room its thin, they put new vinyl in kitchen, they didn't cut the vinyl the right way, the rubber threshold that was there, they had to pull it up because it wasn't wide enough to cover in between new vinyl and laminate floor, after three different tries they couldn't find anything to cover gap, can I use this as a rubber threshold to fill in gap, the height of the vinyl and laminate is the same, it is a handicapped accessible Apt, I am in a wheelchair as well TY

Answer:
You can but you are going to be adhering it to your floor with liquid nails which would make it pretty permanent and a bit difficult to remove if you wanted to. Also, it is almost as high as a normal threshold so you'd be able to roll over it with a wheel chair to enter a room.

Rated 4.5 out of 5 by 25 reviewers.
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Doesn't work Installation was a breeze but the threshold didn't work. First rainstorm and there was more water seeping under the door than before it was installed. August 16, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great sealant works great and keeps bugs out and looks great after being installed July 5, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by garage door floor seal Received the 16' length and tube of adhesive on-time and well packed. I unrolled the strip and let if relax overnight before installing. There are no instructions so you are left to figure out best orientation (there is a front and back). I ended up installing with ridges facing outwards thinking the ridges would help stop sand and leaves from blowing under the garage door. I also had a second tube of construction adhesive on-hand and found it best to "over-do" the amount vs. trying to stretch a single tube. I laid the strip where I thought it should go and lowered the garage door and re-positioned the strip to precise location and ran a pencil line on the concrete. Carefully flip the strip over and run generous strips of adhesive on the concrete and on the back of the strip. Simply invert the strip back into position, press firmly and lower the garage door onto the strip to keep pressure applied while the adhesive sets. The product works as advertised and I am happy with the results. June 7, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Good item and quality material The threshold trim was easy to install, cut it with a coping saw and placed it on the liquid nails. The first one I placed there a year ago did not stick properly after a year and the liquid nails did not hold. Whether I installed it wrong and did not place enough liquid nails on it I do not know but will find out this time when I put more liquid nails on it. I think, however, the price was a bit high. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent product No more water inside garage. Always had water inside the garage. May 12, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Easy to install The trim was very easy to install, and works great. I was getting water seeping under the door due to a dip in the concrete. Two days after the install we got a blowing rain storm and didn't get a drop inside the garage. I would highly recommend unrolling the trim and laying it flat for a day or so before installing. It makes it go down nice and flat. November 4, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Works Installed the threshold due to a low spot in the slab that would draw water during rainy weather. Rubber was tough and sure it will last a long time. Recommend a second tube of sealant as 1 was about half a tube short for my use. Would recommend. So far no leaks. February 23, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by grarage door weather strip, where the door meets the floor Very good product to work with and does what the job it was intended to do. Keeps the water from running under the door. February 10, 2016
