Choosing QuickStart Peel and Stick instead of cutting a bunch of shingles was a no-brainer for me! I used roofing nails every 8" or so since it was only 40-45 degrees outside. As expected, backing didnt stick at all.

I've used QuickStart and ProStart as starter courses for the roof. I usually use ProStart because of how it's cheaper than using a three-tab shingle and it gives you a better warranty, but QuickStart is preferred by some of my guys because you can install it quicker than you can ProStart. It's a simple roll-out, peel off the strip, and apply it to the roof. We put some nails in it, but you don't have to.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by RoofKing15 Very good product/ easy to use
This QuickStart product is very easy to use. I either use this or the Pro Start starter strip shingle. Either one is such a better product and easier to use than a 3 tab. I know longer use a razor blade and am much more confident in the quality work I do for my customers.

Remember to apply when temperatures are between 45 and 110 degrees F. Any colder and it may not stick the way you want; any hotter and the sun melts the entire Earth. If it's in between those temperatures though, it works like a charm!

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Wesley QuickStart- Stays On, Easy Installation
I've been doing roofs for 20 years, and I've been using QuickStart for quite some time now. QuickStart is a peel and stick, and skeptics would say that's dangerous because it'll eventually blow off. This product doesn't. It has Dura-Grip technology that allows the QuickStart to go on and stay on. And it eliminates the need for cutting shingles and leaving mess. Great Product!

Great product, but If you want an even better wind warranty, nail it down and put 6 nails in each shingle. It can be used with almost any architectural shingle, but don't use it with designer shingles. Those have to have a different, larger starter course.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by TheRealDeal Decent product, does not stick well, in the end if you
Overall I was pleased with this product but it did not adhere well to the substrate. When I was rolling it over the felt paper it didn't stick in all the places. They do recommend to nail down so after you do that it is not bad.

The dimensions of the strip are 9 inches by 33 feet. I had to zoom in on the picture of the box to find this out.
