Weatherside fiber cement siding is the one and only solution for replacing or repairing old asbestos siding shingles. It is available in a variety of sizes and shapes to match many of the old siding shingles installed over the last 60 years. Unlike some of the original siding shingles that it replaces, Weatherside pre-primed siding shingles contain no asbestos. It is easy to install, after properly removing the old siding, simply nail the WeatherSide siding in place and paint. WeatherSide is even resistant to warping, denting, rotting, expansion/contraction and termite infiltration.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Price is rather Outrageous In matching old to new work in older homes, this is a necessary item. The shipping was excellant, online ordering was fine, and product performs as expected. I ordered 11 bundles for a garage project, and came up 3 pieces short, due to breakage or mistakes. Rather than wait a week for delivery I found the same product locally for far less cost. HD charges $151.00 a bundle whereas Universal had the exact same product for $105.96 per bundle. As much as I love Home Depot in the future I will check around for prices before ordering again. A $46.00 difference per bundle in price is rather an extravagant profit margin. I would recommend the product but not the price to anyone doing similar work. April 12, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Product Review While the product was of excellent quality and the on line ordering process was easy and delivery was very fast, the price for the shingles was rather high. Unfortunately, the product is not common and few suppliers can get it. January 31, 2012
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Won't die Good replacement for broken asbestos siding. Cut with a circular saw and diamond blade. Slightly different pattern than 1966 original, but once painted its fine. July 7, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by fits the bill used as filler for 100+ yr old -3 family home- had old asbestos siding over wood siding - perfect fit & style... pre-drill pcs with fine screw to avoid cracking & flaking.. respect your patchproduct and take time.take a deep breath & do fine rehab work with this product..this house is over 120 yrs old & this is a "regional" issue with asbestos siding...I don't run into a lot of this product because most 2-3 deckers are sided (yes, you can go over over legally in certain states as long as material is without chips and is "secured") I matched the old paint and applied after installed...but, can do ahead of install. This house looks great with this product...weither its really old or a patch........this siding holds up very well and looks like wood siding....so, my suggestion, and from the conversations and recommendations I would not hesitate to buy a property with this siding (even if it needs painting or repair)... Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Exact replacement for asbestos siding, perfect fit! perfect replacement, exact size and shape. A little expensive but there really isn't too many other choices. Be careful when cutting since cement fiber siding is a bit more brittle then it's asbestos replacement siding. September 17, 2013
