Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Rusty Fine little microwave, perfect for small spaces and only under-cabinet model we could find!
Small microwave oven is big enough to contain a large dinner plate, or a medium casserole dish with cover. Relatively low power (700 watts?). This is the only model we could find that mounts easily under a cabinet and does not have any sort of vent hood or range hood feature. The small size is perfect for regular kitchens. Note you do not really need the separate under-cabinet mount kit for this, you can get appropriate-length machine screws at the hardware store (or Home Depot!) that are threaded to fit the four mount holes in the top of this unit, and the correct length to fit through your cabinet "floor". We like the simple controls and one-touch operation for most uses.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by BettyS Great quality item.
I bought this particular microwave because I was looking for a very small one, and this one received great reviews, whereas all of the others had some fairly dissatisfied customers. And this unit can optionally be mounted under a cupboard. This was the most expensive unit I researched, but because of it's high ratings and the mounting option, I chose it. I've had it for several weeks and have had no problems. It's just as powerful as the larger unit it replaced, and has more updated features. I like the "extra 30 second" feature, ease of using the timer, I haven't tried everything yet, but so far, so good. It's also quiet.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by KRfromNY Don't Buy From GE
We purchased this model in May 2014 because of size limitations. Unfortunately the turntable stopped functioning by November and everything burned. One year warranty in effect. GE sent a repairman after a one+ week wait. The repairman said he would order the necessary part and return a week later. After that week passed GE contacted us to say the part was backordered and they were going to search for another source. Three weeks after our initial contact they now say they have approval for a replacement appliance if we fax a photo of the microwave with its power cord cut. Still no clue when we can get a real working microwave. Save yourself aggravation and inconvenience by choosing something other than GE. We are sorry that our purchase will now be headed for a landfill. Why not just make a better quality product and cultivate brand loyalty rather than avoidance.

We wanted to replace our over-the-range microwave with a range hood, and we don't have a lot of spare space in the kitchen to relocate the microwave. So we started looking for a small microwave to tuck away in an island or on a shelf. This particular unit, which is narrower in width than the previous design, has just the right dimensions for the place we picked out. The quality of the controls feels better than other small microwaves; it seems as though GE has improved the design from previous versions. So far, it's done quite well for us. It (just) holds our full-size plates and cooks only slightly slower than the 1600W microwave it replaces. Our only mishap came when we tried to use the Popcorn setting; it burned the popcorn. We'd recommend taking the bag out a bit early!

Broke after about a year. This was was a replacement for a previous GE model which also lasted about a year or so. Garbage.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by kz78 Basically just fine
We were looking for a microwave large enough to fit our 11" plates but not so deep that it took up our entire counter space. This microwave fit those requirements and works fine. The one thing I don't like is that you have to push the button really hard to open it.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by NapaDJ Good match for our needs.
We were looking for a small microwave oven, primarily for reheating food, heating water, popping popcorn. This 700 watt counter-top model seemed to be just what we were looking for to replace our 15 year old GE microwave. So far (after two weeks) it is working well for us. The interior space is noticeably smaller than our former one, but a large dinner plate still fits inside - but barely. Controls are easy to see and use. We just wish there was a mute button on the beeper, like on our older model!

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Microwave Great for under-cabinet installation
This microwave is one of the very few that is compact and has a kit to allow it to be installed under the kitchen cabinets. All other under-cabinet models I could find were for over the range installation and they were too big for my planned installation. The microwave replaced an older Sharp model that had been installed 10 years ago. Unfortunately the interior of this GE model is slightly smaller than the Sharp model and certain items don't fit.
