Customer Questions & Answers

is ten gallon enough for a average shower?

Asked by: Anonymous
We installed this in a bus conversion. The water is provided by a Shurflow 2088 Class @ 2.8 GPM with a "water saver" shower head. I take an 11 minute very hot shower. I do not run out of hot water even when washing my hair. This is consistent.

No. We had to add a "T" into the lines to drain. You will want to add a drain valve to the water heater during installation.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Do not buy a rip off I bought this water heater two week ago. It ran ok for three days. I came home from work and it was leaking from the tank. The tank say not to return to store call 1 - 800 number. I called and was told that there was no service tech in area. I was put on hold for 30 minutes for a warrany person. He said that rheem would pay 250 for license plummer. The heater cost more than that.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from bad product, even worse customer service from GE Bought this for my cabin. Had a bunch of family and freinds comming up to our new cabin for a long weekend, Drove up there a few days early to install this and get a few other things finished up. My plumber Installed the water heater, while sitting there and wiring it up i noticed water seaping out of the bottom after being pressurized for about 30 mins. Long story short had to come back home to exchange it, no problems with hd returning it. But when i called GE to complain about driving 3 hrs to the cabin, paying someone $90 to install it, having to take it back out and drive back home to get a different one and drive back up and reinstall it, i was basically told to pound sand. Very poor poor poor customer service from GE, did not care at all about how their poor quality water heater put me through all that trouble and cost me allot of time and aggravation. wont be buying any of their appliances ever again.
