Four months and two service visits later and the ice cream is still mush while the rest of the fridge works OK. Turn the fridge up and the ice cream remains mush while everything in the fridge freezes. I am at my wits end, this was a lot of money for us to spend on a fridge that just doesn't work like it should. Extremely disappointed. I followed the suggestions for adjusting the angle of the fridge, for putting a blow dryer on the gasket to make it fit better and to fill the freezer to capacity. This is simply a refrigerator that does not work right.

There isn't a separate temperature for the fridge and freezer. The freezer is awful. The ice cream is always mushy. So you turn down the overall temperature and then the stuff in the freezer is still mushy but half the food in the fridge freezes like yogurt and hummus. This fridge is garbage and I wish I never bought it.

I love the looks of this fridge, but the ice cream in my freezer is soft while the fridge part is fine. There is also frost at the top part of my freezer and the vent part in the back of the freezer is all crusted with frost.

This unit is quiet running and performs as expected. The only thing I wish it had where rear levelers. It comes with front leveling feet but lacks them in the rear. I would recommend this appliance.

The refrigerator did not work from the beginning, but because it took so long to cool down, it took us more than 48 hours to figure it out. Thus, we could not return it. So we are stuck dealing with GE repair (or should I say GE make you wait). We had to wait 5 days for him to show up, only to tell us he didn't have the part. He is not returning for 9 more days (that is if they send us the part within 9 days.)
Given that we had to wait 7 days after we ordered the product, we have been without a refrig for 3 weeks. Not sure if we would have had better service if we bought from a local store, but I do know that I will go out of my way to not buy a GE product.
