Answer:
Yes. It is a 24-hour timer with, I'd guess, 20-minute segments (it's not in front of me).
Definitely no problem setting for what you want.
It has no comprehension of 'weeks', whatever you set for a 24-hour period will be replicated for EVERY 24-hour period until you change it.

Answer:
Yes. One time a day for 10hrs should be no problem for a six week period. I have done this during Christmas without any problems. Insure that you set the time correctly and that electrical power to your outlet is consistant. If your power is interupted then the timers clock will be changed and the on/off times will also be altered.

Answer:
So...first, make sure you're turning it in the right direction (I recall there was an arrow on the face that shows the direction it turns).
You only need to turn it once and that is to make sure it is set to the correct time (there is a marker on the face that indicates current time, turn the dial until the current time is aligned with the marker).
Use the pegs (up or down) to control on/off.

Answer:
Dial only turns one way. Each small switch around the timer wheel must be moved between the start time and the end time. If you only move the start time and the end time switch the attached electrical unit will start at the appointed time and shut off 10 minutes later, and again restart at the end time and shut off 10 minutes later.

Here is the response for this one:
“By gripping the dial tabs of the GE 15102, you can rotate the dial clockwise until the arrow on the dial face is pointing at the approximate current time. Please Note: the moon symbol stands for midnight, sun symbol stands for 12 noon. To set the on and off times perform the following steps:
1. Start by pushing all tabs in toward the dial face.
2. Push out all the tabs away from the dial for the times you want the timer to turn on. Please Note: Each tab is approximately 15 minutes.
3. Push the red switch on the dial face into the timer position
4. Plug the timer into a receptacle
5. Turn the device you wish to control with this timer on and plug its cord into the timer.
Should you need further assistance, we recommend to contact Jasco Products Company directly at 800.654.8483 using option 1 for technical support. There a representative can better assist you with your particular application and installation needs.”

Answer:
Absolutely, that's what I use mine for--mine is a low-amp 24v timer, not sure about yours. Just make sure your pool timer doesn't draw more than 15 amps.

Answer:
There should be no problem with any electrical unit drawing less than 15 amps of electricity. Be sure to protect the timer from the weather and water splashed from the pool. Remember the unit only keeps time for a 24 hour period, you will want your filter to come on the same time every day.

This is Tom from the How-To Community, http://community.homedepot.com I too am a pool owner, and would like to have you consider a few things before using this timer for your application. My pool pump is hard wired and on a 20Amp circuit. If your pump “plugs” in, and is less than the 15 Amp rating of the timer it may very well be fine. The timer is rated for heavy duty outdoor applications, but refers to lighting. In the description, it even goes as far as to limit the wattage maximum. My pool pump may be larger as it is in a 20,000 gallon pool, but I would be very cautious. Safety First!

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Works well A bit hard to understand how to program but once you figure it out the product works well. December 29, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Designed to be used NO MORE THAN 90 days per year After reviewing dozens of timers and thinking GE is a reliable brand ... I bought this one. Then to my surprise after unpacking and reading the instructions it stated "not recommended for more than 90 days use per year. Why anyone would buy a timer that is supposed to control something 24/7 - 365 days that the manufacturer says the duty cycle is only 90 days???? I guess I should buy 4 of them and swap them out every 90 days? I have never heard of such a limitation on any other timer I have owned. So needless to say this was returned immediately. I appreciate Home Depots no hassle return policy. July 28, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great product! Fantastic product - love this timer! Always had to turn our exterior garage lights (and Christmas lights) on and off manually. We're ordering another timer to use for our porch light. Easy to install; easy to use. February 16, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Exact replacement Simple design - easy to use. Reliable. We had one that lasted 16 years and had to replace it. September 12, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Cheap and useless; never use again I purchased over 12 of these timers to install for my older clients that have a hard time resetting digital timers; Every single GM timer had to within month from time of installation; failed to turn on at preset time January 4, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Good purchase Easy to set up, very flexible. Has the advantage of having a cable, so I can actually grab it and program it while holding it in my hand, which is more comfortable than having to unplug it or kneel down, which is the case with other plug-in timers. Con: The override switch only allows you to turn the attached appliance on (overriding the timer), but doesn't allow you to turn the appliance off, like other timers allow. I have two other timers (one's a Timex, the other, I don't remember the brand) that allow you to turn an appliance on until the timer is scheduled for the next "off" interval or turn the appliance off until the timer is programmed to turn it on again. Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by works well but hard to hang This is similar to a previous GE unit we had that could be easily screwed to a post but this just has a hole to hang from. The unit works well but is not very weathertight so some sort of cover is needed. The leakage occurs under the clear plastic cover, not into the plug in connection. From what I can tell this is the only unit of it's type, so we are making the best of it. August 27, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by it works for me This works well for my needs. Very easy to use and to customize. Unlike those timers where you get one or two on/off choices per day, you can control whether it is on or off for every 15 minute increment of a day. I wonder how waterproof it is though; the clear plastic cover does not have a seal on it to keep out the elements. I use mine outside in the winter in a covered area. I don't know how well it would work if rain falls on it. January 24, 2012
