Rated 5 out of 5 by Great timer once you figure it out I'm pretty tech savy and struggled a bit with a few items. Also use the GE ungrounded digital timer, which I love, and so knew to hang in there with this one. There is critical point left out of the instructions regarding the sunrise/sunset feature. Does the time adjust itself as the year goes by? I assume so and that you have to just get the current sunset setting to match your actual. Also, the RCL/RND button is VERY important, though in the instructions, it was easy to miss. It is essential as you will always end up creating an unnecessary time that you want to delete. Can separate time be set for each of the two outlets? Not seeing an answer in the intructions. August 15, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great digital timer The learning curve is a bit steep, but once you become familiar with the unit it programs and performs very well. Nice features and very useable. There are two distinct programming processes involved and this isn't real clear from the instructions...it sort of sneaks-up on you. The process of programming the time, date, and location is one process. THEN the programming of your individual needs is a separate process. It took a while for this to soak-in but once I got the hang of it then programming went well. I really enjoy this product after years of resetting mechanical timers every couple of weeks to adjust for the time-of-the-year and changing day-length. These little jewels just sit hidden and take care of all of my timer needs. This product is highly recommended but can be a bit frustrating until you climb the learning curve to program them. But if you need a reliable accommodating timer then this is the product for you. September 23, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by Didn't last long Being programmable is a good feature; however I have the same experience as the other reviewer: it died in about three years. (It was programmed to turn on and off one time each day). The problem now is, I do not know how to dispose it properly, especially there is battery inside. Would GE/Home Depot take it back for recycling? November 7, 2014
Rated 2 out of 5 by Good timer, but it didn't last very long. Expected a longer life from this GE product. This timer worked for about 3 years and then just stopped working. Also bought the smaller GE timer (model #15089) and it did the same thing. Both were made in China. July 24, 2014
