Hi-this is Sue from GE. Thanks for your interest! Yes. The icemaker can be turned off. Simply set the power switch on the icemaker in the O (off) position. Thanks for checking with us!

Rated 4.2 out of 5 by 58 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Looking Refrigerator This is a very stylish refrigerator. Love how quiet it is. The freezer is a good size and love the pull out drawer. Would recommend this highly. November 25, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Best fridge ever! The only thing this fridge needs is a wine rack! I LOVE the ease of the lower freezer. One thing I'd change ... who puts handles at the BOTTOM of bins? The 3 bins have the handles at the bottom of the drawers! It's going to take a while to get used to it - stupid design! September 2, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by ok I bought this refrigerator on line sight unseen. The freezer compartment is really small. Otherwise the refrigerator part is fine February 11, 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Treat This One With Kid Gloves. . . . Better yet, don't buy it! We have been renting a house for a little over a month. This refrigerator is brand new. Well, with the high-gloss door, it looks like it is years old. Before I cleaned the exterior door (the sides are textured; go figure), I checked to see what to use on it. I use(d) a micro-fiber cloth and Jubilee kitchen wax. It still has "scratches" from the circular motions I use when cleaning the door. It looks dreadful. I am quite anxious about what the landlady is going to say when she comes in and sees it, because she completely renovated this house, and has taken a lot of pride in what she has done. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by lots of room....very satisfied we are very pleased with the refrigerator that we bought. the delivery people were excellent. what we were not pleased with was getting information from home depot regarding the delivery of the product. as it turned out we had 30 minutes from the call until delivery. there was no call the day before, except the calls I made to the store trying to find out information about delivery. we are now rethinking buying future products for our home from home depot. Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by 2 things you should know I suggested this unit for my parents, since we have always had great results with GE Appliances. After installation, we noticed the refrigerator door pops open when we close the freezer and the freezer door pops open when we close the refrigerator door. Also, the freezer drawer is not very secure; it rocks left and right when open. I contacted GE and they said "It is not unusual on a multi-door refrigerator for a door or drawer to pop open when another door is being closed. The refrigerator and freezer sections are connected by air channels to allow air to pass between them. Slamming a door shut forces air from one cavity into the other, often pushing the second door or bottom drawer open. On the same note about the bottom drawer, it is normal to have some play in order for it to open and close smoothly." To which I replied, that information should be somewhere in their literature. There were no floor models available to see it. Very disappointed. June 2, 2014
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Nice Size, Runs Extremely Loud We received ours in January 11 and we noticed it had a little louder hum when the motor came on than other fridges we've had but thought it was louder just because it was bigger than other fridges. Not so, it progressively got louder. We consulted an appliance repair shop thinking the motor might be going bad. He thought the motor might not be level, that is quite common of an issue if it's running load but not bad. He checked but it was level. So now we're stuck with a very loud, potentially bad motor that will go out anytime or never and just be an annoyance. Since it never went bad, it was never covered under the GE warranty. Forget about making ice with it. The ice dispenser and bucket are too far apart so to eject the ice it has to shoot it out which sounds like rapid fire gun shots, drives our dogs crazy. We turned ours off 3 years ago and haven't used it since. But the fridge's design and size are very nice. When we replace this fridge with a nice Samsung, Bosch or LG this GE junk will be a beer fridge in the garage where it belongs. July 11, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Exactly what we were looking for! We just got this product and have only had it for 2 weeks. We like everything so far. I really wanted a single fridge door and did not care to have a water dispenser so this product is exactly what we were looking for! I also think the freezer section has a larger storage area than some. June 17, 2014
