I'M REPLACING A 27 YEAR SINGLE WALL UNIT WITH THIS DOUBLE UNIT. VERY LITTLE CHANGES OTHER THAN CUTTING A LITTLE TALLER HOLE. FITS NICELY AND LOOKS GREAT.

This oven was the best one we could find that would fit into our small space (we needed a 24") without re-doing our cabinetry. Assembly/installation was easy (as long as you are comfortable hooking up a high-voltage electrical connection and you have someone to help lift). The cutout height actually didn't have to be quite as high as listed - we got away with 1/2 inch smaller cutout height. We can see that the quality of construction is not as good as our 20-yr-old oven that we replaced, but that is to be expected in any new appliance and it looks good enough. Easy to use. Heats up fast. Cooks evenly. Wish the lower oven were also self-cleaning.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Julie1958 Perfect for 24" width location; works well
The double oven that came with the home we purchased was not working properly, so we needed a replacement: as near as I can tell from my internet search, GE is the only manufacturer still making a 24" double oven, which we needed to fit the existing location in our kitchen (the layout of the kitchen does not lend itself to modification to a wider oven.) So, although I was disappointed not to be able to upgrade to a convection oven, I am very happy that this oven exactly fit the spot in our kitchen, and everything works as advertised! Seems to run slightly hot, that is things cook in 10-20% less time than recipes call for, and/or need to be set at 25 degrees or so lower temperature; but I noticed that issue with previous all-electric ovens as well. Just check on your food before the "recipe" time is up, if you don't want things overcooked!

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by richjp great oven, temp. settings close, no trim bar
dear staff, oven cooks great. just baked turkey balls. since I retired I do the cooking. wife does the cake bakeing. family/ grandchildren love the food that I cook. a granddaughter came from fla. for several days from school, she didn't want to go eat out anywhere, she was texting to her friends, " my pap is spoiling me, brown sugar pork tenderloins, TB's, ribs." the oven also heats to the operating temp. quickly. looking forward to years of great usuage of the GE ovens.

This double oven fit into a 50 year old replacement space with only minimal wood work. It looks great and works great. Only complaint was that several small screws had fallen out during shipping but were easy to reinstall. Hope it lasts 50 years like the old ovens.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by happygolucky1 Love my new oven!!
I love my new oven! It was purchased to replace an older model. It did require some work for my husband. The oven was larger than the space, however he was able to cut around the wood to make room for it. It was a little messy with sawdust flying around, but well worth the clean up effort! The new oven is pretty and performs well. I do wish the stainless would go all the way up and that the digital for the upper oven was the same for the lower. My kitchen does not heat up like it did before .I am very pleased.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by SatisfiedCustomer Excellent choice. Very Staisfied.
There isn't a large selection in a 24" double wall oven, but this seemed to be the best. I had a small problem with the oven fan when I first turned it on, but GE sent a technician who fixed it in about 5 minutes. I used it for the first time yesterday, The fan is quiet, it preheats quickly, the timer beep can be heard from the next room and it repeats itself, it cooks well, and I'm happy with it.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by jerrysc Nice. Preheats in 2 minutes.
Be sure to read the installation instructions carefully. Installer missed the instruction to cut a hole in the solid bottom if used instead of runners for proper cooling and had to do it over again
