Answer:
- Each unit comes with a transformer. Book says that a transformer can support any combination up to 48 inches of light. So you can have 4 @ 12 inch units, 2@ 24 inches, (1@24 inch + 2@ 12 inch) , etc,,.
- every unit has an in and an out so they can be at an end of a run or in the middle of one.

Up to 48" in any combo. I was using 24" units so it was 2 to a transformer, which must be the limiting factor ... and perhaps the wiring. You could also link 4 of the 12" or mix and match. It is one of my complaints ... 48" is not that much ... and every unit has a transformer. I installed 6 of the 24" units. I have to plug in 3 to power them and have 3 left over ... as if I need a 24V 1A transformer. Read More

You can string together a maximum of 48" of lights so; two 18" and a 12", two 24", four 12", etc. All fixtures have connections on both ends, link wires are 18" long and can only connect to anther light. Individual lights are still controlled by their individual switches so switching one on will not power all the rest in the string.

Answer:
Each fixture does come with a link cable that is 18 inches long. The number of fixtures that you can add will depend on the size of the fixture. 48 inches is the total length of fixtures that you can link together. This can be two 24 inch fixtures, or four 12 inch fixtures. This is due to the 24watt power adaptor. Jasco Products Tech Suport(Manufacturer)

Answer:
Not sure why you would want to do that. Each unit has an easy to access and use dial that gives you a wide infinite range of light settings. Wife finds it very easy to adjust.
If you have to use a wall switch dimmer then you should look at a direct wire models.

There is an on/off switch and dimmer built into each individual unit. Not sure if you can wire them to a common dimmer on the wall.

I don't think so, but check the product information. If so, it will clearly state so. The lights plug into a 24V transformer that plugs into a socket, so even if hard wired, you would still need the transformer. You can also look at undercabinet lighting and narrow your search to hard wire (vs plug in or battery) and see what is available.

Hello Z22, Great question. You can actually convert this fixture to hardwire utilizing our junction box (24772) or purchase dimmer 26742 for a hardwire option. Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Tremendous FM radio interference--great design but. . . Can recommend it only if you don't listen to the radio. April 16, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by IIluminating! Great light, cool to the touch, easy to install, and even has a dimmer dial. Just what we needed! June 16, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Thin and bright These are probably the nicest, thinnest LED lights. They're a little expensive but worth it. My only complaint is the power transformer does not have terminal screws to make the wire length variable. April 21, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Nice counter lighting. I like them because of the 3/4" depth and they have a dimmer. They are linkable, but can only link 48" of them. So, I have 3 transformers plugged in and 3 left over. Also, I had to cut and splice a cord to get one long enough and stack some washers to keep from screwing the mounting bracket from going through the cabinet bottom. Still, they look nice and I would recommend them. February 1, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Very nice light There is nothing wrong with this fixture. It's the brackets that give it a bad rep. The brackets rely on a piece of flexible metal to snap into place, which happens quite nicely before you put the strip of double sided tape over the screw head as instructed in the print out. This extra bit of foam between the screw head and the fixture body may prevent the bracket from snapping onto the side of the fixture properly. If it doesn't snap into place properly, it will fall down. I had to take a flat head screw driver to coax it into place. Other than that (and the price) it is a great fixture. May 2, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Best form factor for LED so far. These LED under cabinet lights are the best ones out there that I have found yet. I've been shopping for low profile LED because for some dumb reason my cabinets do not have overhang on the face (cheap) so the normal under cabinet lights would be quite an eyesore with no lip to hid them. Also unlike other models there is no need for romex/strain relief since the power wire is 22 gauge instead of a hard wired 110v connection. The only real down side is the 12v plug that plugs into the fixture is 3/8" diameter which I think is rather large and requires that size hole if you want to hide the wire inside the cabinet. There is no non destructive way to separate the wire from the transformer in order to allow for a smaller hole to be drilled. Also like others have pointed out before, the clips that hold the fixture clip in fine until the double sided foam tape is added. Tape is necessary to dampen the noise of the aluminum fixture base to steel clip, without it it would rattle every time you turned the fixture on and off, but with it on it does take a little bit of coaxing to get the clip to snap on. Not a problem really, just something to be aware of or else you will risk the fixture falling. I'm rather pleased with overall quality of the product compared to all the other stuff out there. Comparing to other brands available at the other big box home improvement stores, this was hands down the one to get, but unfortunately they know this and priced it accordingly. There are less expensive under cabinet LED lights but you get what you pay for. GE could and should spend more money on the product description. I had to open the box to really get an idea of how nice and thin the product really is. Why isn't this product on the GE website so people can compare? As nice as the product is, it is not going to sell itself in that kind of packaging. March 21, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Thankyou Dad Simple honest truth is that I liked the Lights so much that I bought a set for my Son and a set for my Daughter. They both liked the Quality and ease of installation of the Lights, not to mention the Value seeing how it didn't cost them anything. December 30, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Light, but a little pricey I installed 24-inch, 18-inch, and 12-inch variants of this product. I read some reviews about the brackets on these lights being difficult to use, so I didn't even try to use them during install. Instead, I used 3M's "J4575 Dual Lock Low Profile Reclosable Fastener" which are really just like heavy duty Velcrow. I used two 6 inch lengths on either side of the light and simply affixed it to the spot I wanted, and it worked great. Very hassle-free install and the light quality is great. May 28, 2014
