Hello Dogsandcats - this is Nancy at GE and I am happy to help you.
There are few differences in the two models. The Adora model is sold exclusively at Home Depot. The Adora model has LED lighting versus dual level, and four freezer shelves versus three. Both of the refrigerators are great models!
I hope this information is helpful! Thanks for checking with us!

Answer:
Hello - this is Nancy at GE and I am happy to help you.
This refrigerator has an overall width of 35-3/4". An air clearance of 1/8" on each side is also required. The doors do not require additional space to open 90 degrees. The door clearance required to remove the fresh food full-size pan without disassembling is 19".
I hope this is helpful! Thanks for checking with us!

Customer Reviews

Rated 4.4 out of 5 by 145 reviewers.
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good quality purchase This GE refrigerator has been a great purchase. We were looking for a good quality side by side that dispensed ice and water in the door. We also wanted plenty of storage and easy access to items with compartments that would allow for this and we haven't been disappointed. When we first purchased the refrigerator we noticed a slightly different noise than our old refrigerator when the compressor kicked in but it was just adjusting to the difference over a few weeks. It runs quietly and operates smoothly. The only issue has been that the ice occasionally delivers a little too much ice in an instant when you least expect it. Just keep your cup there until you know it has stopped dispensing. March 26, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Avoid GE We like the look, layout and features of the refrigerator, other than the water dispenser is really slow. Our problem was that 3-4 months after purchase, the liner in the freezer cracked (10 inches long by 1/16 inch wide). Initial contact with customer service was easy and good. Service technician came to house, seemed very knowledgeable, and said the liner couldn't be repaired and that GE would call to arrange delivery of replacement unit. After a week we had to call them, and then they said it was cosmetic damage only and wouldn't be covered under warranty. After multiple phone calls, I was unable to convince them it was a defect in materials or workmanship and not just cosmetic, though I'm not sure how a crack in the freezer liner is not a defect. It seems like the liner is there for a reason: to keep the cold in. So the refrigerator is working harder to maintain temperature, which is costing us more to run and most likely shortening the life of the refrigerator. GE’s only offer since it was "cosmetic" was that we could purchase a replacement unit for 10% of original cost or extend our warranty (which is apparently worthless) a year. So, we recommend you pick another brand. November 11, 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Corrosion issue after only owning a short time I bought this refrigerator to match the other appliances my builder had installed. Within a year I was having issues with the control panel. I thought it was a circuit board. I researched and replaced myself but to no avail. I ended up calling an appliance repair company who came out same day and fixed. There was a corroded connector under the front grill that he stated was a known issue with GE refrigerators. Why didn't GE do a recall on these models? You can clearly see the corrosion and cheap parts used by GE.Disappointing because I spent a lot of money on this model. I will not be buying GE in the future. October 1, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Amazing space This refrigerator is perfect. Great size. Love the slate color. The door alarm and control lock features are awesome. August 12, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Plenty of room I bought this refrigerator one month ago. My husband really wanted a side by side and I wanted the french door style with the drawer freezer at the bottom. I did not think I would be happy with the side by side but I was wrong! This refrigerator has SO much room. The shelves roll out which is an awesome feature. The water and ice dispenser work great and I love that the tray underneath the dispenser can be removed and washed. The exterior temperature controls are great and the crisper drawers keep fruits and veggies fresh much longer than my previous refrigerator. Love this product! November 7, 2014
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Aughh The Ice Machine.... This Refrigerator is Beautiful,,I just received it yesterday. Opened the freezer door this morning when I woke up,,Ice came" flying all out all our new wood floor:,,and under the refridge,,which was another issue,,because we had to pull it out again to make sure we get all the ice off of wood floor :/...WHY this happened,I do not know. I looked in the manual and has no reason for ice building up and falling out of the freezer..I WANTED TO CRY!!! I Cleaened it up,, See if it happenes again,I hope not..IF so will call service,,,:( I will report back,,,unsure if I would Reommemd, yet,,,LOVE THE COLOR!!!!!!!!!!!!! April 19, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by great features bought this 6 months ago and we love it. ice maker is very good and we really love the slate finish April 29, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by looks great Just got it two weeks ago and it looks great. We just replaced our entire kitchen and went with the slate color refrigerate and over the range microwave. I really was uncomfortable picking appliances based on color. I could give this fridge a 5 except that it is a little loud, it has great space and many many shelf variations. I wish it had an egg tray. The ice maker has a huge ice bin. One other thing is it has good lighting but the light on top is a little low, But my expections are high, our old Whirlpool lasted 30yrs. and 27 days. September 24, 2014
