Rated 5 out of 5Â by Wytske A great buy for a standard fridge. There's nothing fancy about this fridge, but it's spacy and quiet.
This fridge was exactly what I expected. A no-frills, pragmatic, and affordable fridge with space to put perishables of all shapes and sizes. The fridge is also quiet and energy efficient.

Given that my kitchen space limited me to a refrigerator that was 28" wide and 65" high, there weren't a lot of units to choose from. That said, I am quite happy with my purchase. This unit is surprisingly roomy, the lack of front handle not only looks nicer and is easier to clean, but it saves space in a small kitchen. It is about the same noise level as any other refrigerator I've had yet more energy efficient. I had refrigerator thermometers that I've used in both the freezer and main compartment. Took close to a full 24 hours to be at the right temperature when first arrived, but ever since then (and one month later) the temperature in both compartments is absolutely exactly where it should be when left at normal setting. I wanted a "no frills" refrigerator - something to keep food cold, organized and that would be reliable. I knew from research that adding an icemaker would decrease reliability (and increase expense) in any refrigerator and avoided it. My only downside is that the crisper draws are a little stiff to pull in and out, but I've gotten used to it. A little more space than my last refrigerator. Overall, I am quite happy with my purchase.

You don't have many choices when shopping for a fridge less than 30" deep and 65" tall, and this is one of the better ones. It fixes the flaws reviewers complained about in similar-sized models from other brands: it features a shelf in the freezer, two crisper drawers instead of one, and a clear, sturdy bottom shelf instead of a cheap plastic one. It's loud, but you expect that at this price point. My only complaint is that the crisper drawers squeal when opened or closed. Can't speak to longevity, since I've owned it only one month.

Great little GE refrigerator. I bought it because my 6 month old Samsung refrigerator seems to have a design flaw that causes it to breakdown on a regular basis, and I simply could not be without a refrigerator.
I bought this one, to put in the garage, and be my back-up.
The delivery guys were great, unboxed it, put it in position, plugged it in, and took away all the packing material.
This unit has never looked back. It is right on temperature (I have thermometers in freezer and refrig section) and it hums along.
I have decided that if the Samsung breaks down again, I will move IT to the garage and put this little one in the BIG space in the kitchen.
Simple design, no bells or whistles... just reliable cooling and freezing. Imagine.
