Great large capacity! I am saving water and time as I now only do laundry once a week instead of the previous 2-3 times. Easily holds and cleans 8 pairs of jeans in one wash. Can handle large blankets with ease. The washer is so quiet that I kept checking to make sure it was running when I first started using it. The only negative-there is no way to know when to add softener if you are in another area of the house. The timer on the washer blinks but if you aren't standing next to the machine you will miss it. I bought an inexpensive timer with a loud ring to let me know when it is time. Overall, I am extremely pleased with this washer and it has exceeded my expectations!

We wanted a well-made, classic "water in tub" washer after a bad experience with what is being being passed off as "high efficiency" that just squirts a little water here and there and doesn't get your clothes clean. This actually says "Commercial Laundry" on the face plate. Seems very durable, but it has only been a few months. Has stainless tub which is a nice feature, and simple electronic controls with plenty of cycle and water temp choices. Uses a longer, smoother washing motion, which is unusual if you are used to a more violent agitation, but gets the job done. Probably less wear and tear on the clothing. Also bought the matching electric dryer which has performed equally as well.

Have purchased 6 of theses machines for commerical use in an assisted living facility, the clutch assembly has gone on 3 of them within 2 years, one was able to be repaired through the warranty, the part costs over $200 and is labor intensive to replace making it not worth repairing.I have lots of spare parts

Owned for two months; works well. We like that it has simple controls, and does NOT have a bunch of useless features. Select the cycle (controls water temps and agitation speed) and the water level - then "start". Tub fills to cover the clothes, and agitator quietly washes the load the "old fashioned" way -- exactly what we wanted.
FYI: GE rates the current version of this washer at 3.2 cubic feet by the current DOE test procedure, not the (out of date) 3.6 advertised here. It is fine for our needs.

Bought it and another one just the same about 2 months ago and only hope they don't break after the warranty runs out.

After reading too many disappointing reviews regarding washers - especially automatic water controlled and front load versions - I selected this washer given it seemed straightforward enough and AM I thankful I did. It is the quietest washer ever and gets your clothes exceptionally clean. Further, you CAN control the water level, temperature, etc and therefore won't feel cheated by not having purchased a fancier, more expensive model machine having more options, if that's possible. Equally noteworthy is when I first found this washer it was titled as being a "commercial" washer (Aug '13) though I see it no longer is stated as such - which might explain why it's so quiet. I've had the washer 2 months now and it's problem-free and I expect it will remain so. Like I said before, I'm happy I purchased this model and nothing else. It might not be "stylish" but who cares? It's great in every other way.

Agitates extremly slow. Doesn't get clothes clean. Doesn't fill with water during the rinse cycle, just sprays clothes with water. Wish I had kept my old washer.
