Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Jujiro Okay machine with a really bad discharge hose
I purchased this machine right here from Home Depot's website Order# W356378600.) The machine was delivered last week as promised. Soon after the installation, the installer found a small crack in the discharge hose. This is a very common problem in those corrugated black plastic pipes often used with sump pumps. I called GE call center and they ordered a replacement hose for me. Much to my dismay the package arrived today with Glisten Washer Magic liquid instead of the hose. I would not have used their inferior hose anyway. I found a much better quality replacement hose for $14 at Lowes.
I wrote a letter to Mr. Jeffrey Immelt, the CEO of GE. I got a call from his office acknowledging the receipt. No action has taken place, not that it matters to me any more.
I do not find the unit to be worth $584. GE is taking a free ride on its past good reputation. I for one am done with them.

I am really pleased with this washer. Some of the reviews had said it was noisy and didn't get clothes clean. Others had said it tears up clothes or people were having trouble with the water level. I have not found any those to be a problem. I am very pleased with this washing machine. I mainly use the manual water setting, but have not had any problems with the pre-set options. This is a solid well built washing machine. I searched for over a month comparing washers: features, manufacturer and price. I am very pleased with this purchase!
I ordered it on-line from Home Depot. Delivery was fast. Installers were courteous, fast and most professional in their manner and appearance.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Rusty Exceptional cleaning basics with lots of options
Do not fall for the top loading non agitator models of ANY BRAND. You need an agitator to clean filthy jeans, socks and so on. Spritzing water over the load and spinning does nothing to clean. I sold my Cabrio on Craigslist, buyer beware, because it could not wash anything completely clean. It would lump clothes together and I had no control over the water level. With the GE you have two options. Let the machine choose or you select. I much prefer the second~! This machine will clean your filthy jeans, socks and so on. A top loader tries to sell you on "water injection"and so on. Hogwash. I had a top loader Maytag for 24 years and am glad to have this GE now. I left Maytag because they do offer the features of this GE like soak and so on which is important for thick fabrics like jeans and blankets.
Buy it! Don't fall for the fancy laminated buttons on those empty top loaders!

My experience with this washer and Home Depot has been a disaster. I bought a washer, “special purchase”, and dryer on-line dropping over a thousand dollars with them. The purchase process was ok, delivery was fine. After everything was connected, first wash, what the heck is that metal grinding noise. Had something to do with the agitator. So I went to the store like their website says (they didn’t even ask where I bought it) and customer service blew me off telling me to call GE. But I paid for a new, working, washer. Too bad. I call GE and at first they tell me it’s out of warranty. What, I just got it. Turns out Home Depot’s “special buy” which sort of implies that got a deal and are passing on the savings is really something that sat in their warehouse forever and they were unloading it. So GE is coming after ONE load and anything not under warranty which already expired on a NEW machine I have to pay for. Lesson from my experience is buyer beware, from what I experienced Home Depot does not stand behind what they sell

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Tam1 I'm very happy with this washer.
Nice size load capacity. I like the PreciseFill feature, but I recommend bybassing it when doing a "Super" load. I like the many different settings available for the type of load you're doing. The only con I have is that it runs a little bit noisier than I'm accustomed to, which is something to consider if you have to place it in an area that is not out of the way.

The best feature is the auto load size sense! It works perfectly and makes washing super simple.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by PCAP Better than the Whirlpool non-agitator unit
I am really impressed with GE's quality and performance. The agitator wont rip through your clothes yet desoils them better than the whirlpool cabrio non-agitator model I previously had. I am really satisfied with this unit.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by badshepherd Washer only fills 1/3 full
I don't understand why washer manufacturers today are so concerned about saving water. Our old Kenmore did a great job until it died. This new washer only fills up 1/3 of the way when set on "super capacity". I'd like all my clothes to get wet in the washer, it's kinda important to me, maybe I'm crazy... I will be buying a hose to attach to my laundry faucet so that I can continue the filling process to a level that will actually work for a full load. Otherwise, I'll keep this thing on the super capacity setting and only fill it half way. I guess that's better for the environment?
