I am really pleased with this washer. Some of the reviews had said it was noisy and didn't get clothes clean. Others had said it tears up clothes or people were having trouble with the water level. I have not found any those to be a problem. I am very pleased with this washing machine. I mainly use the manual water setting, but have not had any problems with the pre-set options. This is a solid well built washing machine. I searched for over a month comparing washers: features, manufacturer and price. I am very pleased with this purchase!
I ordered it on-line from Home Depot. Delivery was fast. Installers were courteous, fast and most professional in their manner and appearance.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0Â by dryerpurchaser1000lol Decent, but the dryer is what sells this set
I bought this washer because I needed a pretty shallow dryer to fit in my shallow laundry closet and the one that matches this washer fit the bill. If I had it to do over, I'd still get this set because the capacity is great compared to the exterior dimensions. If I would have written this when I first got it three weeks ago, I would have given it fewer stars. What changed?
You HAVE TO use high efficiency detergent. I can't emphasize this enough. Not "safe for all machines," something with HE in the name and the little HE symbol on the label. The Tide HE unscented works well, but my old unscented All "safe for all machines" packs left stains nearly untouched. The machine is pretty noisy, and they are weird noises because the spin cycle is some patented new mechanism - they even include a chart that says what the different noises mean. If you do laundry next to a sleeping person's bedroom, definitely don't get this. I don't do that though so it's fine. One thing I find a little annoying is that you can't open the machine once you've started the cycle or it stops/doesn't automatically restart. It has little indicator lights to tell you what step of the cycle your load is on instead of the old-school knob moving - which is kind of nice because your load settings haven't changed since the last time you did laundry. I have used the load weigher feature a few times and it seems to work passably well, but a lot of the time I just set it to "super" because I don't do lots of small loads of laundry. Overall I find the machine totally adequate, but I'm not inclined to rhapsodize about it like the reviews of the fancier HE machines.
TL, DR: You shouldn't worry that you'll hate this washer if you're buying the set to fit in a small laundry room. It's fine, unless your laundry room is next to your nursery. Use HE detergent.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0Â by Tam1 I'm very happy with this washer.
Nice size load capacity. I like the PreciseFill feature, but I recommend bybassing it when doing a "Super" load. I like the many different settings available for the type of load you're doing. The only con I have is that it runs a little bit noisier than I'm accustomed to, which is something to consider if you have to place it in an area that is not out of the way.

The best feature is the auto load size sense! It works perfectly and makes washing super simple.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0Â by PCAP Better than the Whirlpool non-agitator unit
I am really impressed with GE's quality and performance. The agitator wont rip through your clothes yet desoils them better than the whirlpool cabrio non-agitator model I previously had. I am really satisfied with this unit.
