Repair or replace your table and floor lamps with the GE 3-Way Lamp Kit. This kit includes a 3-way turn knob, 10 in. harp, 18-Gauge cord set, finial and fittings. An 8 ft. clear cord is included, which will help the cord blend in with its surroundings and minimize the distraction it can cause. The 3-way turn knob has low-medium-high settings which will allow you to control the amount of light in the room. Controlling the amount of light being used will save you money and energy! Note: have a qualified electrician perform installation if you are not familiar with household wiring. This product is UL listed and comes with a 90-day warranty.

Hi 01272016, If you cannot identify the neutral wire by either the white stripe or the ribbing on the insulation, and you see no difference between the cords then your cord may not be polarized.
