Odd sized replacement that would fit and was available (other brands back-ordered). Identical with almost no innovation in 10+ years to the dying GE model it replaced!
Works, is quieter than the 10-year old replaced model, but has worse finish on the doors, hinges, shelves, overall alignments - you name it.
Disappointed at the absolute lack of innovation or improvement, the ridiculously high price (larger fridges are cheaper because there are more choices/competitors; only 3 available in this odd size, only this GE for immediate delivery!)
I wish I could redo the kitchen and get a cheaper, larger, different fridge instead!
The only saving graces - quiet, cold, stays on very little (the first utility bill should confirm energy savings) and has a working ice maker (the old GE fridge's ice maker broke 5+ years ago). If this sounds like a reach to say something nice, it is!

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0Â by jre123 Product has many good features but one really bad one.
When shopping for a refrigerator in this price range, I decided on this model because of it's appearance and features. I had been advised by a friend who owns an appliance repair business to buy American because the repair experience on foreign-made models was not good. I am satisfied with the performance of the refrigerator so far except the ice dispenser. The ice dispenser throws ice everywhere. It is unlike any ice dispenser I have used on any other refrigerator. I contacted GE about this problem and they told me this was "normal". I was shocked the company would have such a casual attitude about a problem which I consider to be a major issue (one which would have prevented my purchasing the refrigerator if I had known how poorly this feature operates). Ice on the floor everytime the ice dispenser is used is NOT NORMAL. Because of this problem and the attitude of the company, I would not buy this model again.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0Â by TampaJoe Good fit for our needs
We live in an older home with size limitations for width, height and depth. Came down to this product and a similar product made by Whirlpool. The Whirlpool's pro's were that it had LED lighting and the icemaker was located on the door instead of in the back of the freezer which at least gave it a sense of a larger freezer area. However, the GE was a little taller (but not too tall) and a little shallower plus it's front control panel was better than the Whirlpool. With the GE, you actually set the temperature for both the freezer and the refrigerator (0 and 37 degrees respectively are recommended) and it also tells you the actual temperature in both areas. With the Whirlpool model, you set the freezer and refrigerator temperature from a scale of 1 to 7 with "4" being the recommended setting and then you use thermometers to tell you to raise or lower the setting. The other difference between the two is that the drawers in the Whirlpool refrigerator bound when openning and closing them while the GE unit's drawers work more smoothly.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0Â by wocar A good fitment for the space available.
Was the best fit for my kitchen, everything worked like it should upon delivery. I did notice that the door alignment is a little off, the freezer door is slightly higher but, does not effect functionality. It is not all that noticeable, just disappointing that the quality control is not a high priority for GE. The ice maker does throw ice on the floor if you position your glass really low. The fridge I replaced would also do this, so it is not that big of a deal. Just raise the glass a little higher. I am satisfied so far, I guess time will tell if that continues.
