the model description says 30in wide but when I went to the store it says 31.5 wide "actual size". Can you explain?

Asked by: marisa
I believe the extra 1.5 inches take into account the lip that rests on/above the countertops.

Shelves do not slide well and would prefer a handle on the drawer. This design allows particles to collect in pull-out well. Also, be aware that putting a hot lid on the stove top, where it is cool can actually suction the glass up. This is how our Profile range top shattered. It cost as much to replace a glass top as it does to by a new range. Something should be done about this. Very wasteful and bad for our landfills.

The overall look and quality is great but the install needed some customization. Nowhere on the website do they mention this. Be prepared

Stovetop works great & so does the oven. It cooks so much faster & more evenly than our past ranges. Great feature that the largest burner has 3 different coils, that can be controlled separately via the same selector. Only downfall with 3 controls within 1 switch is not there isn't much fine controls, meaning you can easily go from medium to high accidentally. Have gotten use to it & instead of 4 finger big adjustments, using 2 fingers to make small adjustments. The counter overlapping glass is great, gives it such a really nice high-end look when installed. It wrapped perfectly around our quartz counter edges. The controls are wonderful & the front control panel is great. The bottom drawer is a good size. Only issue is the bottom drawer is a little hard to open. Going to install a 2 hand handle that matches are cabinets this weekend on the drawer. Also it is very easy to turn on the controls with your butt, by leaning up against it. This probably isn't a problem for most, but our kitchen is smaller & the main gathering place for our home. Wish there was a little more safety lock feature built into the controls by having to depress the controls to switch them on or a button release for each control.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very pleasing to the eye We bought this as our last appliance that needed replaced in our kitchen. So far we love it. pros: beautiful convection feature knobs in the front so you don't have to reach for them over boiling water all the features for cooking you could almost want heat element protected from spills steam cleans with water you can use inner ring for small pots option which saves energy cons: flimsy bottom drawer heat exhaust in the front blows on you ( though probably nice feature in winter ) cook top not easily cleaned hardwired so you need to buy a not included plug for outlet fan blows for quite a while after turning oven off

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Never Again Installed in February and oven panel died in August. I enjoyed the stove and the way it was made until this happened. Realize anything can break and warranty should be good but what I hate is it took a week for serviceman to get here to look at it and then (unlike other companies) GE will not allow him to get the part but he has to put in the request and they have to approve before sending it for him to fix - thus at lease 3 weeks without an oven on a new product. I will never buy anything GE again and you would be wise not to also!!!And by the way, Home Depot is no help, had a difficult time getting it installed by HD and now this. Never again!

Let's hope I don't need parts, the lack of which caused me to get a new range. GE only stocks parts for 10 years, which is environmentally unsound.

Good range for baking , broiling and stove top use We bought this range to replace a previous 15 year old similar product . In general I like it very much. It has a large enough capacity oven for our needs and can fit a large turkey roast pan and fits standard size baking sheets. Oven holds set temperature well. The broiling feature works well as in most ranges. The cook top with its four burners is easy to set and hold the temperature that you want. It does not run hot or cold in our experience. The storage drawer works perfectly well and the lack of a handle is a positive to me as I find a handle annoying. I like the fact that the bottom of the oven does not have exposed elements, making it easy to clean up simple spills in that area. Things I don't like: I find the glass cook top is very hard to clean well. It takes multiple approved products to clean it and some elbow grease and persistence. Same with the front panel that becomes splattered pretty much no matter what we cook on the top, but especially if browning or frying on top. This is hard to get clean, and you have to be careful not to scratch or puncture the plastic over the digital controls. . As the handle sticks out much farther that the previous similar model, some cabinet or counter top modifications may possible be needed to be made so it will fit. The fan does run a long time after you have finished cooking and is pretty loud. Some have said to open the door, but this leaves the light on and in a hot or warm kitchen will make the kitchen even hotter, so we just try to leave the room. The self clean cycle the first and only time I have used it was releasing a lot of fumes, much more than our older slide in range. I assume this will decrease in further cleanings. Smell was never a problem with this when baking, even when first used. There is no convection cooking cookbook or specific instructions available for this range, so i have not used the convention feature but others like it so it must work well if you have used convection cooing before, which I have not. In general this is a good solid range that will cook your food well. You just have to be the type of person who does not mind spending time cleaning it so it looks as good as it cooks.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Looks Great, one thing missing While its a great looking product one thing is missing. The stove needs side strips to seal the glass edge to the counter top. I'm sure there will be some normal food prep spills that will get under the glass edge. I will be using a high temp sealer to seal gap so normal kitchen crud doesn't get underneath.
