Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by FlaToolman GE 30 Inch Slide-In Range - Inferior Leveling Feet
The overall quality and features of this U.S. made product is pretty good and the aesthetic design is really good. The controls are easy to read/use, top access for cleaning spills is good and the oven has a larger 'window' than most ranges. The only negative is the 'leveling' feet, which are plastic and after adjustment rotate easily when sliding the range into place; there is no method of locking the feet to prevent this and after leveling adjustments are made, obvious plastic shavings from the feet were noted on the floor. The leveling system used on a range of this price range (~$1200.00) is sub-standard at best.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Rich Stove has several problems
Stove top is not level - there's a hump in the middle. The front burners tip down towards the front.
The broiler has only two levels of heating, while our 19 year old Kitchen Aid had 5 levels. (Wife is not happy!)
There is only one light to indicate that a burner is on - not obvious which one it is. Our Kitchen Aid had a separate light for each burner. The burner dials are not made properly - they appear to look the same when they are on level 5 and when they are off - no difference. (Wife is really upset!)
The front sides are not really finished properly - don't look good. We pushed the stove in further to hide this, but now I see that it may be in too far to work on the front panel. I think we may have hidden the side screws on the front panel which may have to be unscrewed to lift it for maintenance. (I am really upset with this)
The stove (Slide In) was different in size than the KitchenAid it replaced. We had to cut the counter on either side as well as in the back. The specs made us think that it would fit without any cutting. It required an expert cabinet maker to do these adjustments (over $200.00). The stove was in and out many times before we were comfortable with the fit.
SO, in summary, this stove cannot hold a candle to the 19 year old stove it replaced. The old K.A. worked well, had more features, had dials and settings that made more sense, and was better quality all around. It also looked great - nice clean, finished lines (front, top, sides). That stove was around $700. This one, with the warranty, was almost $1,400.
As they say, do the math! I think GE needs to make this right!

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Puffin Love the cooktop for canning!
I like my control knobs for the electric burners, but the oven has electronic touch controls and a fan when turned on. I am not use to the fan noise when using the oven or for cooling down after use. I am still learning how to use the oven temperature and timer without turning each one off accidentally. And I prefer not having electronics for the oven, the knobs are much easier. But it had the features I needed for canning, but not realizing the electronic oven with fan noise when I called around the town for the best price.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by gretchels So far so good!
I bought this stove about 6 months ago. The oven fan is a bit loud but I'd rather have the fan than not. Overall cooking seems to be even.
I haven't used the self cleaning oven option because Im a little nervous....you see, my last oven, 6 years old, stopped working after using the self cleaning 5 times. I tried replacing the heating element and it didn't rectify the situation. I'm wondering if the self cleaning overheated the mechanism.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Mlattig Excellent, Basic Stove
Very pleased so far with my new stove. The burners and oven heat up very fast, the oven is large, there is plenty of room on the top between the burners for spoon rests, and the bottom pull-out drawer is roomy and holds a lot. It was super easy to install. Can't go wrong with GE stoves, the one I replaced was over 20 years old and still worked great, I had it re-installed at a rental property that needed a newer stove.

While space requirements entered into our original decisions, the GE was our first choice among those that met our requirements.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by KYHomemaker99 Good basic little stove with plus of self-cleaning oven.
I like how the range is easy to clean. I haven't cleaned the oven yet, so cannot write about that feature. Otherwise, the range has been a delight to use after one problem was solved. The two small electric eyes did not fit down securely like the large ones. They rocked which caused pans of hot food to wobble dangerously. That was corrected by a service man who was here about something else. He was able to bend the frames enough that now they seat securely into their pans. I have used the oven twice for baking and both times have been pleased. I have not used the broiler, yet.
This range does NOT have one feature that I greatly need: That is an electric convenience outlet on a timer for plugging in my slow-cooker/crock-pot that needs to be turned off at a certain time when I'm not here. So, if that is important to you, this is a red flag for your notice. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
