Customer Reviews

40-Watt Incandescent F15 Flame Tip Decorative Auradescent Light Bulb (2-Pack) is rated 3.2 out of 5 by 5.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful light I almost hate to give a good review here in case these bulbs will bite the dust when we all switch away from incandescents, but maybe they will fall under the specialty category, and so, remain available, because… These bulbs produce a light that is DROP DEAD GORGEOUS ! If you were fascinated as a child by the oil-slicked puddles that seemed to capture a rainbow, you will be delighted with the tiny, subtle glints of unexpected color within the general warm glow. I use them in my bathroom over the mirror, and on the wall over a painting, and in the kitchen on some hanging lights. They go anywhere.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Manufacturers of Incandescent Decorative Auradescent Light Bulbs " IMPROVE THE LIFE OF YOUR BULBS" These light bulbs last approximately 3 - 4 months. I know that I'm wasting money on them however they improve the look of my bathroom fixture and they cast a soft pleasing glow.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Neat Soothing Light I am so glad alternatives to ugly CFL lights still exist. Florescent, and even some LED lights give me a headache. These "aura-descent" lamps were first introduced by GE in the late 1960's. They were marketed as having "all the glints hints and tints of a rainbow" captured in a bulb. The light these produce is subtle but oh so beautiful. I am stocking up on them just in case but hopefully they never go away.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Beauty doesn't last I bought 4 packs of these on sale for my new Bathroom vanity lights. They looked fantastic in the bathroom, bright, but soft, not glaringly white like CFLs. The vanity globes are clear, so I wanted a bulb that was decorative, and wouldn't detract from the lights. However, within a week, one bulb blew out. I figured it was just a bad bulb (it happens), so I bought another package. Two more (different than the first one) blew out the next week. My opinion: the bulbs are pretty, but not very high quality. If you buy them, get some extras to keep on hand for replacements, or look for something a bit more expensive, so you pay the price the first time, as opposed to paying it in replacement bulbs.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not as bright as expected. The light bulbs look fantastic during the day in the light fixture and add a small glow in the evening without the blaring glare, but it is not enough light to light up the entire back yard. With only 2 light fixtures on the exterior of the house it did not provide enough light. It does a nice job on the back patio for illuminating the deck.
