I've had the stove for 2 weeks now, and the only things I would wish were different is oven light does not automatically come on when the door is open. You must depress a button on the control panel. The front design of the storage drawer is not deep enough to put your fingers under to pull it out once items are in drawer adding a little weight. You have to grasp both sides of the drawer to do so. I needed a stove in bisque and there are not many to choose from, so was very happy to find this one!

Promised oven for Thanksgiving and then again for Christmas. No call backs from management. Home Depot pretends to care about its customers but they play the ignore until you give up game just like all the other huge companies these days. Oh by the way, the range is a cheap range and GE doesn't make them like they used to. And after all this the installer didn't level the range so I had to pull it out and adjust the back legs myself so our eggs didn't slide off the pan. They also said they would compensate for the horrible service and we never heard from anyone again. "knock Knock...anyone Home(at the) Depot.

There is no new technology here, just your average kitchen stove. One update is that GE raised the rim around the electric coils to make for easier cleaning (I had the earlier model and it did not have this feature. It was a nightmare to clean AND keep clean). CONS: The oven light does not come on automatically when you open the door (HATE THAT!) The lower oven drawer is a major pain to open as others have commented. That is such POOR DESIGN and I can't believe GE doesn't have a better design solution. (FYI, I had the older model and the drawer was easy to open, not to mention significantly larger).

I have the black range and it is almost impossible to keep a shine on it without using a microfiber cloth. The paint job is just too thin and cheap. The bottom drawer handle is extremely flawed and you cannot open the drawer without using two hands to grab the sides or top of the drawer instead of that worthless indentation meant as a handle. The oven takes longer than expected to preheat to 350 and the oven makes a clicking noise every couple of minutes while it is in use. I don't hate this range but there is no way that I would recommend it.

We weren't able to physically go shopping for a range so, we did it online. We learned a valuable lesson: don't shop online for a major appliance. We have four complaints about it. 1. The top section doesn't fit down all the way. There's a gap on either side. 2. Because of the above mentioned, the lights on the panel are above the words. 3. The drawer at the bottom is difficult to open. It doesn't have a handle, just an indention. The indention isn't deep enough to grasp to open it. We have to use the sides to pull it open. 4. The knobs for the heat elements are difficult to tell where it is on the dial. I hope you're able to see the photo well enough to see what we're talking about.

I am very disappointed with the GE electric range, which I recently ordered online. I would never have ordered it if I had seen it in person first. It is very cheaply made - the control panel looks like it doesn't quite fit right, and the screws that hold it on are clearly visible. The bottom utility drawer is narrow and flimsy. The interior of the oven is smaller than my old oven, even though the outside dimensions are the same. When the oven is turned on it makes all kinds of noises ranging from thumping, pinging, tapping and chirping. The higher the temperature the more noise it makes. This electric range is lightweight, cheaply made and is best described as a glorified tin can. I realize that "you get what you pay for" but I expected better quality than this. Needless to say, I am extremely disappointed, especially since I have bought many GE appliances in the past and have always been satisfied. It definitely did not meet my expectations.

This sleak looking electric stove is our first non gas unit that we purchased. Transitioning from gas to electric took some getting used to since we always saw a flame on the burner but now see a red glowing coil instead. Our food still cooks evenly from all burners and it is easily to clean especially with the self cleaning feature of the oven. Control knobs are on top of the panel instead of in front of the burners. Control display is easy to read and the push buttons respond quickly. We have yet to use the oven for any major baking or broiling but we will soon do that some day. Over all, I would recommend this oven.

Have had this stove for about 10 days and am satisfied so far with it except for the drawer. I agree as others have wrote that it is very difficult to grab the so-called handle to open but I just use both hands and grab it from the sides instead. My biggest problem is when you pull the drawer out even just a couples inches the front falls forward and down onto the floor and today it completely came off its track cause I can't get it to close and its crooked now. Might be returning unless GE can offer a solution.
